The cost of a midwife in Mooresville, NC can be influenced by several factors:

  • Type of Midwife

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) who work in hospital settings may have different pricing than Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) who attend home births or birth center deliveries.

  • Birth Setting

Hospital births with a midwife typically cost less out-of-pocket when covered by insurance, while home births and birth center deliveries may have different fee structures.

  • Scope of Services

Many midwives offer comprehensive packages that include prenatal visits, labor and delivery support, and postpartum care, which can affect the overall cost.

  • Insurance Coverage

Most insurance plans cover CNM services, which can significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs. CPM coverage varies by state and insurance plan.

  • Experience and Specialization

Midwives with extensive experience, additional certifications, or specializations such as VBAC support or water birth may charge higher rates.

From my very first impression of Kati, she was very warm, genuine, and easy to connect with. Her gentle presence was exactly what my birth space needed when I was at my most vulnerable. From my prenatal appointment, to the birth room, and postpartum, Kati has been nothing but encouraging and first class. Highly recommend her services!

Sam will be our go to doula for any future pregnancies! With Sam’s support I was able to achieve the most healing vbac experience. Sam was an absolute blessing for us during my pregnancy and labor. Every doubt and anxiety I had was met with positivity and reassurance. She made me feel empowered to make my own decisions and trust my body. She helped me to get into a positive mindset for my birth and I truly don’t think I could have done it without her help. Sam really believed in me and my ability to achieve the birth I wanted even when I did not. She went above and beyond for us and really educated herself for my particular birthing experience and provided us with hand tailored resources and handouts so that I could feel confident and empowered in my choices. From our very first meeting I just felt comfortable with her. The extra small things that she went out of her way to do like greeting us with a gift basket when we first met only scratch the surface! You can just really tell she loves what she does. Her presence brought so much comfort to my partner and I during my labor. For over 20 hours Sam offered continuous support from pain relief techniques during the unmedicated parts of my labor to mental support during tough decisions, and to the emotional last postpartum goodbye visit. Sam is an exceptional doula and I can’t say enough good things about her! She feels like part of our family now and will always hold a special place in our lives from now on.

My biggest fear for this birth had a lot to do with the fact that I had gestational diabetes and I wasn’t sure what my labor and delivery would look like. I ended up having to be induced as a result of the diabetes. As a result labor lasted a long time and the contractions became unbearable. My doula was able to help with giving me strategies to help work through the pain and contractions. She used a few different strategies that helped me to get through a delivery with no pain medication. Her use of heat, oils, breathing and her attentiveness to my needs was the most helpful part. She was able to get me out of my own head to help me to help myself in the most productive way. The most unexpected perk of having a doula was the postpartum care. Tangela helped a lot with suggestions of how to deal with the healing process. She even provided some personally made items that I could use during my healing process. I would highly recommend DoulaSent Birth Services. The fact that I had someone to contact that would understand and sympathize but would also give practical useful tips and suggestions to remedy any troubles I had was wonderful. For anyone contemplating on hiring a doula, I would say go for it! It’s the support you don’t even realize you need until you’ve experienced it.
