-Prenatal education class for the pregnant person -Prenatal education class for a supportive partner or other support person (e.g. friend, mom, sibling) -Birth plan consultation -Continuous labor and birth support from active labor to first latch -2 in-home postpartum visits, based on your convenience -Private newborn care class for you and up to 5 adults in your support circle
I offer a range of services, including prenatal education classes, birth plan consultation, labor and birth support, postpartum support, and a newborn care class. In addition to my services, I work with a certified YogaBetter prenatal yoga instructor who can provide 1:1 prenatal and postpartum yoga classes, if you choose. Nafeesa helped me though my 2nd pregnancy, I have a todler. My first birth experience I felt like I got a little lost in the system and as prepared as my husband and I were, nothing turned out quite right. Nafeesa was amazing! She is very knowledgeable in her profession and is happy to educate or offer feedback. She was a very calming presence during my birth and was hands on in a way that was extremely helpful and not overbearing. She helped me advocate for myself and took so many pictures to help me document my successful VBA2C! I had a great experience working with Nafeesa on my birth plan. I came into the conversation with very little knowledge and she helped me understand my options and backed up everything with thorough research. We talked about everything from who I wanted in the room with me and how to prep them to advocate for me, books to read and videos to watch, the different moods to expect during different parts of labor and the hormones behind everything, and what to do immediately after the baby arrives and postpartum. She had a similar conversation with my partner to ensure we were on the same page and this really helped during labor and postpartum. Lastly, she was open to what I wanted to do and gave me the data but I didn’t feel any judgement for the choices I decided to make for my birth plan. I highly recommend her services!
