Hello there! My name is Sarah and I am a holistic, mind-body focused certified Birth Doula in Spokane, WA. I grew up with a mom who worked in labor and delivery for most of my early childhood and was obsessed with hearing the birth stories of her patients. I learned what a doula was in 2015 and have since believed deep in my soul that becoming a doula is part of my life calling, my destiny, my fate…whatever you want to call it. I am deeply passionate about this work. I attended the first annual Returning from the Stars conference hosted by the Center for Indigenous Midwifery and completed their Indigenous doula training. I am a full spectrum doula (birth, postpartum, and even stillbirth/miscarriage/abortions) serving the Spokane and North Idaho areas, and have experience with twin births, intervention-free births, and births with no interventions involved. I serve birth people however and wherever they would like to birth, in or out of hospitals, with midwives or OBs. I'm now currently serving Medicaid clients in Washington State! I am happily married to my best friend, and we are blessed with three wonderful sons. My interest in birth and breastfeeding has always been a passion of mine. The birth of my first son was at the hospital and was a life-changing experience that ignited a fire within me. I knew then that I wanted to support families as they welcomed, nourished, and nurtured new life. I became a certified doula in January of 2021 and began attending births.
