The cost of a night nanny in New Haven, CT can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in New Haven, CT, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Destiny Torres

Packages from $100

Hi! I’m Destiny, a birth doula who believes every mom and family deserves to feel supported, heard, and empowered throughout their birth journey. Before becoming a doula, I spent over two years working in Labor & Delivery as a phlebotomist, where I witnessed the strength of birthing families and discovered my passion for birth work. I support clients through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period, whether they’re planning a home birth or a hospital birth. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and centered around your unique goals. Outside of birth work, I love hiking, baking banana bread, and spending time in nature. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you welcome your little one into the world.

Throughout my entire pregnancy, I was super nervous and anxious because the thought of actually giving birth and delivering a child terrified me. A doula never really occurred to me as I never really knew what they were, until one of my coworkers who knew I was 5 months pregnant at the time brought up how she knew of a Doula. Destiny really explained to me what they do and the kinds of services a doula can provide, and it really interested me given through what I was going through during the time, . Working with her turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for me and my baby. From the very first meeting to our last, Destiny has been a pleasure to have as my doula and has made this process a lot lighter for me. She is a great person to talk to and ask any question to becuase she makes you feel comfortable and easy to talk to about any birth and post labor concerns. She provided a home cooked meal post labor and it was absolutely delicious ! But most importantly, she made every effort to ensure a safe space , and a memorable labor. when it was that time and I truly don't think it would've went the way it did had she not been my doula. Even after my son was born, she continued to check in on me, trying to just make sure I was adjusting well emotionally just as much as physically and that's how I know that she's someone who truly cares and has a love and passion to what she does. That meant so much to me because most people only focus on the baby and just forget about the mother lol, but she never forgot to remind me that the mom was just as important. More people would benefit from the services of a doula, especially her. If you're looking for someone who will treat you like family, I couldn't recommend her more. She is exactly the kind of person you want besides you during such a life changing experience.

We worked with Kiki from May to July 2022, and she was amazing. She provided full 24/7 newborn and postpartum support, helping with nighttime care, feedings, diapering, soothing, and creating a structured sleep routine. Her attention to detail and thoughtful guidance made us feel confident as new parents. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that Kiki is not available as a long-term nanny. While her postpartum and newborn care is exceptional, she does not provide ongoing daily childcare beyond the support period, which we initially hoped for. Overall, Kiki is professional, trustworthy, and nurturing — a true asset to any family navigating the first months with a newborn.

Tori was my postpartum doula and we worked with her for over 4 months. It was actually a bittersweet goodbye on her last day and our family is beyond grateful having her in this journey as first time parents. I can’t thank her enough for all the help she’s given us. It could have been worse for my experience hiring a doula for the first time but God is so kind to lead us to her. She helped us with our colicky baby by providing us resources, recommendations (lactation consultations, craniosacral theraphy etc) and every help she gave us was almost always a game changer or aha moments for us. Our baby loves her, even our furpuppy dog Hopper. I’ve seen how compassionate of a mom she is and an advocate of her job as a doula even great at making lactation bites which became my favorite snack! 😁 I would highly recommend her. She is so easy to work with. We’d love to have her again for our 2nd child (God’s willing 🙏🏼) 💕

Simone Abrahams

5 years of experience

Hi, I’m Simone! I’m a Newborn Care Specialist with 5 years of experience caring for newborns and infants while supporting families during those precious first weeks at home. I have had the opportunity to work with families from diverse backgrounds, including Jewish households, and I always strive to respect each family’s traditions and individual needs. There’s something so special about the newborn stage, and I truly love being able to step into a family’s world and bring a little calm and reassurance. My approach is gentle and patient, and I believe every little baby deserves to feel safe, comforted, and cared for, and every parent deserves to feel supported rather than judged. I take the time to learn each baby’s little cues and each family’s preferences, so my presence feels like a natural and comforting addition to their home. Outside of newborn care, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, and appreciating life’s simple moments, especially with a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream! I also love spending time with my dog, Ollie, who always keeps life a little more fun and messier :). I feel truly grateful to be welcomed into a family’s home during such a special season of their lives, and I look forward to creating a warm and supportive experience for both baby and parents.

Andreina Alvarez

West Haven, Connecticut

Andreina Alvarez

12 years of experience
Accepts insurance
Packages from $2,500 · $75/hr

**Please note, all my reviews are available on DoulaMatch.Net and my website linked at the bottom of this page** :) As a birth + postpartum doula, childbirth educator, infant-feeding + lactation specialist, and IBCLC in training, Andreina has served the growing families of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey since 2014. Her passion for birth work, expectant families, and newborns has been prevalent since she was a child- watching television series like TLC’s A Baby Story, which chronicled different birthing experiences throughout the United States. It was this initial peek into the sphere of birth in America that made Andreina aware of the disconnection that society had to an event so preternatural and fundamentally inherent such as birth. In her pursuit of restoring the sense of confidence and capacity in all birthing people, Andreina trained under renowned DONA International Doula trainer Rina Rios, and was subsequently selected to join the year-long Manhattan Birth training and mentorship program, led by doula turned home birth midwife, Tanya Wills CNM. Learning under these knowledgeable and influential women, Andreina gained invaluable knowledge that complemented her natural passion and innate skills in supporting expecting and newly postpartum individuals. Such skills and passion were further honed during Andreina’s own 72 hour home birth experience where she and her husband welcomed their son in 2022. With a bachelor of science from Iona University and five years of experience as a skilled pediatric phlebotomist, Andreina’s approach to childbirth, lactation, and postpartum melds the best of western medicine with the best of tried and true holistic care for all of her clients.
