Her passion for childbirth began in her birthing her four children within five years and learning the amazing power of the mind, soul, and body in physiologic birth and thereafter. Becoming a DONA trained Doula has given her the professional skills and resources to help other birthing people and their partner(s) awaken and tune into this power. As your Doula, she is honored to hold space for you and meet you where you are along your reproductive journey. She will provide emotional, informational, and physical support and hold your hand as you learn to advocate for your preferences in what is the most personal and sacred time in your life. By encouraging you to feel confident, fully supported, in control of your choices, and well equipped with the tools and comfort measures, her goal is to help you optimize any path your birth takes. She especially wants to do all she can to educate the community about the power of birth support, increase access to these evidence based services, and work with BBIPOC and trans and queer birthing people who often experience trauma and inequitable care along their gestational journey. As a Latinx Doula, she is a strong proponent of reclaiming and honoring the cultural roots of birthing communities and their traditional practices. Elizabeth is bilingual in Spanish.

Hi, I am Kareema, a trained postpartum doula with a background as a labor & delivery, postpartum, and nursery nurse. I am passionate about supporting families through the transformative journey of the fourth trimester. With years of hands-on experience in maternal-newborn care, I strive to create a nurturing, informed, and empowering environment for parents as they navigate the early stages of parenthood. I aim to provide compassionate, evidence-based support that promotes healing, confidence, and well-being.

Recent review

Kareema was so patient with myself and my husband through this process. She was so informative and helpful and understanding. Without her, my husband and I would not have been able to explore this process of what we had to endure in order to obtain our happiness in our family. She was knowledgeable in concerns during and after my pregnancy and I had faith and confidence in what I was doing with the information that she shared and the help that she gave. My experience with Kareema is a 10 out of 10.

As a doula, my goal is to ensure that you are an active participant in decisions surrounding your labor rather than your labor happening to you. We will do this through education, support and advocacy. Looking forward to helping you achieve the birth of your dreams!

Working with Ashleigh was an amazing experience. She was knowledgeable on so many birth topics and took the time to review all of our options with my husband and I. She was warm and compassionate and guided me through a natural birth in a hospital environment. I would absolutely recommend her to my friends and family.

I’m Erica Castillo a full-spectrum doula, body literacy educator, and folk herbalist walking the path toward becoming a home birth midwife. I offer culturally rooted care across the reproductive spectrum, including birth, postpartum, fertility, menstruation, and reproductive health support. My practice weaves together ancestral knowledge and contemporary support, grounded in the traditional healing ways of my African and Taíno ancestors. In many traditions, midwives were more than just birth attendants, they were community healers, herbalists, bodyworkers, and spiritual guides. That legacy shapes how I show up in this work: with reverence, skill, and a deep commitment to care that uplifts the whole person. For the last 8 years, I’ve supported families with a blend of intuition, evidence-based tools, and heart. If you’re looking for a grounded, culturally aligned doula who honors your intuition and uplifts your experience, and advocates for you, I’d be honored to support!

Michelle was my doula for my second child. I was trying for a VBAC and had such a bad experience with my Cesarean that I had one simple request when I hired her, "Please keep me off that operating table!" She checked in with me throughout my pregnancy and gave advice when I was concerned about my weight gain. I wanted to be strong and in the best shape for a vaginal delivery. When I went in to labor spontaneously, my contractions would stop and start. By the 30th hour, I was losing faith and she guided me on "curb walking" to keep my contractions consistent! It worked! She then came to my house and put me through a circuit involving the stairs, floor and different positions on my couch. Active labor sped up quickly and she got me to the hospital ready to push because I was 10 cm dilated on arrival. In 4 pushes, my daughter was out! I can only imagine that had I not hired Michelle, I may have gone to the hospital too early and experienced that prodromal labor on a hospital monitor. I believe I would have been labeled "failure to progress" and wheeled in to the operating room for yet another c-section. My body just needed time and movement to get my active labor going. Michelle knew how to get me there. My 2nd birth felt like redemption and I can't thank Michelle enough!

Let’s make your transition into parenthood a beautiful one 💕

Recent review

We worked with Kiki from May to July 2022, and she was amazing. She provided full 24/7 newborn and postpartum support, helping with nighttime care, feedings, diapering, soothing, and creating a structured sleep routine. Her attention to detail and thoughtful guidance made us feel confident as new parents. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that Kiki is not available as a long-term nanny. While her postpartum and newborn care is exceptional, she does not provide ongoing daily childcare beyond the support period, which we initially hoped for. Overall, Kiki is professional, trustworthy, and nurturing — a true asset to any family navigating the first months with a newborn.

Hi my name is Tracy. I am a certified postpartum doula and I have the highest respect for the abilities of new parents to educate themselves, to make their own choices, and to nurture their babies. My role is to support and facilitate the birth and postpartum experience you desire and to help smooth the bumps in the road that can accompany this wonderful and unpredictable life event. I come to birth work from a nanny background ; I spent more than 15 years growing and learning.. I was privileged to witness two births that changed my life and showed me the immense value of experienced support for women and families in the perinatal period. I am in the process of completing my first Birth Doula training with CAPPA and have finished my Postpartum doula training. As a life-long learner I was confident that I could adapt the wide variety of training available in this field to serve my clients and continually improve myself and my services. I am consistently described by clients as calm, compassionate, and gentle. I have a true heart for parents and babies and a passion for my role as a caregiver. I recognize the importance of the whole spectrum of the perinatal period and am available to assist families from pregnancy and birth through breastfeeding, parenting and beyond.

Welcome families! My name is Katherine, and I am a new birth doula serving all of Connecticut, as well as southern Massachusetts. Being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I pride myself on providing a welcoming and accepting space for all. I provide emotional and practical support to the birthing couple in hopes of easing the stress of delivery, and increasing the joy of bringing your baby home! I work with families on creating birth plans and helping them advocate for that plan during labor and delivery. I am knowledgable on labor stages, fetal positions, and emergency situations, which will help to put your mind at ease! Whether it's through massage techniques, changes in position, breathing strategies, or something as small as lighting candles, I strive to make the birthing experience as calming as possible. My job as a doula is not to take over the role of the partner, but to guide the family to advocate for themselves in the labor and birthing space. Monica and Alexis are godsends. We will be begging both of them to work with us again when we have our second child! Alexis was our postpartum daytime doula three days a week. She started with us as soon as our son was born, and we ended up extending her contract an extra month because we (and our son) couldn’t bear to be without her! She treated our baby as if he was her own; she is his favorite person in the whole world. She did a wonderful job providing mental health support to both myself and my husband, all while still somehow finding time to cook us delicious meals! Monica was our overnight newborn care specialist. She gave a great sense of security and relief to our family. She was originally scheduled to start 8 weeks after our son's birth, but we begged her to start sooner and she kindly squeezed us into her busy schedule. As a first-time parent, I really appreciated the countless times she provided me invaluable guidance and encouragement. Her network of fellow doulas, baby chiropractors, IBCLCs, babysitters, etc. have also been very helpful. Overall, I wish I could give them both 10 stars! :-)
