i plan on having a natural unassisted home birth with support from my boyfriend & a doula. i dont have a set birth plan yet. i have estimated $1000 budget.
Hi, I’m looking for a doula for my upcoming birth in Bend, Oregon in July. I have OHP through PacificSource and am hoping to find someone who may be covered or can help me navigate coverage options. Personality wise, I’m blunt, funny, swear like a mechanic, emotionally open, and strong willed. I’m very direct and appreciate the same in others. I do best with people who are genuine, can handle sarcasm and straightforward communication, and don’t talk down to me or over soften things. I’m sensitive underneath it all, and can get overwhelmed easy, but I prefer honesty over coddling. I’m hoping for as natural and "low intervention" of a birth as possible. My body doesn’t respond well to medications or surgery, and I get "white coat syndrome" quickly, so I’m looking for someone who truly respects a physiological, low intervention approach and won’t push unnecessary procedures or pressure me into decisions that don’t align with that. I also need someone who can stay grounded and calm during labor and help keep me focused without being overly clinical or emotionally fragile. It’s important to me that I can be direct in the moment without worrying about hurting feelings. I need someone who can handle honesty, no filter communication without taking it personally. I’m looking for someone steady, respectful, and real who can support me through labor in a way that feels empowering and grounded.

I will be giving birth at the Eugene birth and wellness birthing center. We are operating on a very limited budget as we were not expecting this expense. We are open to A doula in need of birthing experience for licensing. I intend on having a very natural and self driven birthing experience so I don't need someone that is super hands on.
I plan to give birth at St. Vincent's Hospital. I will need someone who accepts OHP. I need help developing a birth plan.
Hi, do you know anyone who is twin breech extraction trained/certified?! Have no idea how to look for or find someone like that. I’ll either be at PWF or StV if I go before 36w. That’ll be in July so I’ve got time but would love to find someone! Do you work with any midwives? I’m not sure what I’m allowed to ask for at the hospital so this is all new territory for me…
Good evening, I am looking for a doula that is hopefully somewhat covered by my insurance plan. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Program. Do you accept this insurance? If so I’d love to connect. Regards, Courtney

I'm planning to give birth at a hospital in portland. I'd be looking for someone who takes OHP insurance and who could provide support both in the hospital setting and for the first week or two after baby is born. Someone who could help with cleaning and cooking would be preferred as well as working around my daughter who will be nearing age 4 at the time.

I planning to give birth at the hospital as the midwife I see only delivers there. I have Trillium OHP and want to get a doula that is covered under that. I dont have a set birth plan yet as I am still in my first trimester, but would like help with that as well. So far through research, I know I do want to try for an unmedicated birth, I want as little medical intervention as possible, I dont want to be overcrowded with staff in the room, I dont want constant fetal monitoring unless it is emergency situation, I want to be able to freely move around while i am contracting to be able to listen and help my body, I dont want to give birth in my back unless my body tells me too, I dont want constant cervix checks unless its an emergency, I will labor at home for as long as possible before going to hospital, I want delayed cord clamping, I want immediate skin to skin with baby and for the father and space for us to experience baby when it arrives. I want a doula that has more than 5 years of experience especially with first time moms I would prefer someone who is in there 30s but not required. I really am just looking to have someone who is educated and familiar with unmedicated births and to be that extra support for me during birth and can be a calm guide for me and my boyfriend during this amazing experience :)
