Leenoshka was absolutely amazing as my doula! She came to my house and help me understand in a detailed manor the steps and the things that go into labor, and breastfeeding. When I went into labor and called her at 4am she answered and kept in touch until it was really go time and she came over. She helped the whole time, being in labor was not easy but all the tools she brought and her knowledge helped out so much. I was able to be in labor for only 40 hours, and I kept progressing and was able to do it naturally. Definitely do not know what I would have done without her. She also helped me with latching baby girl on which I absolutely appreciate!

I could not possibly recommend In Joy Birth any more. Our experience with them was the first experience we had working with doulas and we had both a birth doula and postpartum doulas (2 alternating). I think this review is supposed to be more focused on postpartum so I’ll focus there, however I will share that we also had a birth doula, who helped make my wife’s home birth of our son incredibly beautiful. We first started working with In Joy postpartum when our son was 11 days old. My wife was having a really hard time with the limited sleep we were experiencing so we needed some temporary help. Chrystal showed up in our home just hours after we made the call! She helped us get our first (actually) restful night of sleep that night. Over time we also started working with another doula, Andie, who was also amazingly supportive of my wife and our son. We usually did 3 nights per week and it made all of the difference in our physical and mental health. All in, we stayed with In Joy for a little over 4 months and wouldn’t have changed a thing. We’ll absolutely hire them again when/if we have our second child. They made an incredibly positive impact on our lives and we are so thankful for them.

Hello! I am a birth and postpartum doula in Volusia County and servicing within a 50 mile radius. I got started in the birth community after the birth of my daughter. I had a wonderful experience, in part due to the wonderful midwives who attended me throughout my pregnancy and labor, as well as the postpartum doula who came to my home at 2 in the morning to help me with her when I was losing my sanity. These experiences made me want to give to other women, and I found my way into doula work. It has been the most rewarding work I have ever done, and I love doing it. I can't begin to say enough good things about Cari. From the moment we first began messaging, to our first meeting, all the way up to the amazing unmedicated birth of our second daughter. We are not strangers to an unmedicated birth, as that is what we did with our first daughter, but Cari helped make the experience with our second not only even better but much calmer and secure all around. Cari was informative in not just the potential outcomes of the birth we WANTED, but she made sure to take the time to cover what-if scenarios. What we were looking for in a Doula was someone who was willing to take the time to get to know us well before baby #2 was born, but also someone with a kind vibe/aura (IYKYK), who could advise us on some additional labor coping movements and massage/pressure points, and she did all of the above plus more. If we have another baby, she will undoubtedly be our Doula again. I genuinely recommend her on all levels. Even after our daughter was born, she stayed with us in the birth center for hours until I felt well and recovered enough for her to leave us (and this was past 1 am). She captured some absolutely precious, beautiful, and raw photos of our birth, on top of doing a newborn photoshoot for us. Themed and set where we wanted, yet again surpassing all expectations. She includes postpartum support as well, and she is so sweet when she came for her postpartum visit, she brought a batch of the most AMAZING lactation cookies ever (and might I say they sure worked for me!!). Cari will undoubtedly take the time to listen and form a plan that you want while informing you of all possibilities and taking care of you like a member of her own family, honestly. And who doesn't love a fellow nerd? Look no further. She IS the doula for you. THIS is the sign you're looking for.
