What to expect

Welcome to Baby Butterflies Doula Service. I became a doula because I know firsthand what it means to hold your breath for the safety of your child. When my daughter was born, everything seemed picture-perfect. But at three weeks old, our world tilted on its axis when we discovered she had a congenital heart defect. What followed was an open-heart surgery and four precious, miraculous years of loving her, learning from her, and fighting for every milestone. She lived four beautiful years, and every single moment with her reshaped how I view life, parenthood, and the vital importance of being supported when you feel most vulnerable. That journey changed me forever. It taught me that birth and parenthood aren't just physical processes—they are deeply emotional, unpredictable, and sacred transitions. I realized how critical it is for every parent to feel heard, advocated for, and fiercely supported, no matter what path their journey takes. Baby Butterflies was born out of that love and grief, transformed into purpose. A butterfly’s transformation is delicate, powerful, and brief in the grand scheme of things, yet it leaves an undeniable mark on the world. My mission is to walk alongside you through pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum with steady hands, an empathetic heart, and unwavering support. Do you charge mileage?

Travel Policy within the area of Polk County is included in the rate of the package. Any traveling outside of Polk County will be charged additional fee that could be $200+ based on location.

Can a service be added if it’s not included in the package?

Yes, it has to be paid in advance.

When can I hire you as my doula?

Anytime you want to, a deposit is required to begin services.

What is the deposit?

All packages require a 50% deposit to begin services.

What form of payment is accepted?

Cash, Zelle and Applepay ONLY. No CASHAPP will be accepted NO EXCEPTIONS.

Can services be added to tailor my needs?

Yes, for an additional fee.

Is my deposit refundable, if I decided to go with another Doula?

Non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the signing up contract.

When is my balance due?

Remaining balance is due prior to 37 weeks gestation period, if not paid, Doula will not be there for delivery. Balance has to be paid in full prior to Doula showing up to place of delivery.

How much does La’tricia charge?

La’tricia's The Empowered Birth Blueprint package is $125 USD, flat rate. La’tricia lists 10 packages in all.
