I have a tremendous amount of gratitude being able to do this heart-centered work professionally & full-time. I support mothers & families as a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, parent educator, certified breastfeeding counselor (CLC), an integrative nutrition health coach (IIN) and a student midwife. My journey started in the year 2000 in my hometown of Washington, DC. In 2015. Since then, I’ve supported a diverse clientele in New York City and now Cali. My philosophy: Mothers deserve to be respected, heard and nurtured doing this major transition in life to becoming a mom, whether it’s for the first time or the 8th time! I truly believe It takes a village to raise a family which is what led me to my purpose, heart-centered work of supporting mothers & families. I’m a strong advocate for mothers and families birthing in all settings including hospital, home & birth centers. I respect the many choices in mothering and parenting. It's an honor to walk the path of mothering with women as they navigate the many options we have today. I strongly believe in the woman's ability to grow, birth and nourish her baby with her natural, innate abilities while also respecting the need or preference of medical support along the way. It's all about the balance of holistic & medical. My support also includes follow up postpartum healing practices for mom, lactation and pumping support, newborn care and parent coaching. On my spare time I enjoy indulging in health & wellness therapies, spending time in nature, traveling, cooking, dancing, and enjoying quality time with my family. As first-time parents, we were nervous and unsure about many aspects of caring for a newborn, but Queenie’s guidance and steady, reassuring presence made everything feel manageable from the very beginning. She provided hands-on support with newborn care, including soothing the baby, helping us understand feeding cues, and offering practical advice on daily routines and sleep. During nighttime care, Queenie was calm, attentive, and highly responsive, which allowed us to get much-needed rest while knowing our baby was in capable hands. She always took the time to explain what she was doing and why, helping us build confidence as new parents. Queenie was also very supportive during the postpartum recovery period. Her thoughtful care, emotional reassurance, and calm demeanor helped create a peaceful environment and greatly eased our anxiety. With her support, we were able to rest, recover, and feel more confident each day. We are deeply grateful for Queenie’s dedication, professionalism, and genuine compassion, and we truly feel fortunate to have had her as our doula.

When I first became a mom, I never thought I would feel comfortable leaving my baby with someone else, especially during the newborn stage. I was very anxious and had a lot of insecurities. Anna helped me feel calm and confident from the beginning. She was gentle with my baby, always patient, and took the time to explain things when I had questions. Knowing she was there allowed me to get some rest and take care of myself without constantly worrying. Anna helped with overnight newborn care, feedings, diaper changes, soothing, and sleep support. She treated my baby with so much love and care, and I always felt that my baby was safe with her. I am very grateful for the support Anna gave our family and would happily recommend her to any family looking for newborn care or postpartum support.

We’ve been so lucky to have Gabi as our newborn doula, providing both day and night support since our daughter was six weeks old. From the start, Gabi has been incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable, and caring - not just with our daughter but with our whole family as we’ve adjusted to life with a new baby. She brings such confidence, warmth, and positive energy to every visit, and it’s clear how passionate she is about supporting families during this special (and overwhelming!) time. Gabi has also been a wonderful resource, connecting us with others in the doula community and helping us feel supported in so many ways. We’re truly grateful we found her and cannot recommend her highly enough. Any family would be lucky to work with her and have her in their baby’s life!

Hi, I’m Mirella, a postpartum doula based in the Bay Area. I specialize in overnight newborn care, supporting families through the early weeks with their baby for the past 4 years. I help parents feel more rested, confident, and at ease while caring for their newborn, assisting with feeding, soothing, and establishing gentle routines that work for the whole family. My approach is calm, attentive, and tailored to each family. I focus not only on caring for your baby, but also on supporting you; whether that’s helping you get the rest you need, answering questions, or simply offering reassurance during this new chapter. Before your baby arrives, I also offer a complimentary in home visit so we can get to know each other, go over your setup, and make sure you feel fully prepared. My goal is for you to feel confident, supported, and at ease in your early days as a family 🤍

I cannot recommend Mirella highly enough. She was our night doula for the first six weeks after our son was born, and hiring her was truly one of the best decisions we made for our baby and ourselves. Those first weeks are such a delicate and vulnerable time for a family, especially for a new mom and baby, and Mirella brought exactly the presence we needed into our home. She is incredibly kind, gentle, calm, and nurturing, while also being knowledgeable, reliable, timely, and precise in everything she does. We started calling her “the baby whisperer” because she always seemed to know exactly what our son needed. If he was unsettled, she knew how to soothe him, and whenever we asked for advice, she had thoughtful suggestions that worked. She didn’t just care for our son: she taught us so much and helped us become more confident parents. She was especially incredible in helping us establish healthy sleep habits from the beginning. She showed us how to gently teach our son to sleep and worked consistently with him night after night. By six weeks, he was sleeping stretches of around six hours, which I credit in large part to Mirella and the foundation she helped us create. She also helped with household chores, which was enormously helpful during those exhausting early weeks. Initially, I was hesitant to hire a night doula because both my husband and I were off work and I wondered if we really needed the help. Looking back, it was one of the best choices we could have made. Mirella helped us immensely and made those first weeks so much more manageable and special. We feel incredibly lucky that she was part of our son’s first weeks of life. I would recommend Mirella without hesitation and would be more than happy to speak with any family considering working with her. She is truly wonderful.

Hello! I’m Naoko. I am a Japanese-trained midwife, birth and postpartum doula, lactation counselor, childbirth educator, and mother of four. Before moving to the United States, I worked as a midwife in Japan, supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I have continued supporting families as a doula with compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized care. My approach is centered on the person giving birth. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and supported in making decisions that are right for them and their family. I draw on both my medical knowledge and my personal experience raising four children to provide practical, compassionate, and individualized support. I welcome families of all backgrounds, races, cultures, gender identities, and sexual orientations, including LGBTQ+ families. I support a wide range of birth preferences and experiences, including unmedicated birth, epidural birth, induction, VBAC, and cesarean birth. I also offer childbirth education, breastfeeding and lactation guidance, prenatal yoga, and bilingual support in English and Japanese. My goal is to help each family feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

I reached out for support because I was feeling really anxious about attempting a TOLAC. I wasn’t sure if I should go for it, but after having many honest conversations, I felt completely heard and supported. That helped me make a decision I truly felt good about. On the day of my delivery, she came right away. Her bright encouragement and Naoko’s calming presence helped me shift from fear to confidence. In the end, I had a successful VBAC, and it turned into the best birth experience I could have hoped for. I’m so grateful I chose Naoko’s support and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a TOLAC or VBAC.
