Hi, I’m Phadiziana (Lulu) Smith-Whiteside, the founder of Becoming Mommy Birth and Beyond I’m a birth and postpartum doula passionate about supporting mothers and families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum journey with compassionate, evidence based care. I believe every mother deserves to feel informed, supported, heard, and empowered throughout her experience. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and judgment free space where you feel cared for every step of the way. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or growing your family, I’m here to provide emotional support, comfort measures, education, encouragement, and reassurance during one of life’s most transformative moments. I support all types of births and honor each family’s unique preferences and goals. It would truly be an honor to walk alongside you during your journey into motherhood.

A gentle introduction to doula support designed for families wanting guidance, reassurance, and emotional support with a primarily virtual experience. Includes prenatal education, birth planning guidance, virtual labor support, postpartum check in, and ongoing business-hours text support.
🌸 Becoming Package
A balanced blend of hands on and virtual support for families wanting personalized guidance throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Includes prenatal sessions, continuous in person labor support, postpartum visits, on call care, emotional support, and personalized resources.
✨ Beyond Package
A luxury, high touch doula experience providing comprehensive support from pregnancy through postpartum recovery. Includes multiple prenatal sessions, continuous labor and postpartum support, partner coaching, affirmations, personalized planning tools, self care gifts, and guaranteed backup doula coverage.
💻 Overflow Package (Virtual Only)
A flexible virtual support package for families wanting guidance and reassurance from anywhere. Includes virtual prenatal/postpartum sessions, personalized planning, digital resources, checklists, and unlimited business hours text support.
🌙 Postpartum Support
Compassionate, hands on and emotional support for families during the postpartum transition. Support may include newborn care guidance, feeding support, emotional reassurance, light household assistance, recovery support, and helping parents feel more confident and rested. Minimum booking: 3 hoursDaytime support available (evening/overnight upon request)
