My husband and I have five children — four girls and one boy — and we spent eight years raising our family in Utah before relocating to Pocatello in 2020. Becoming a mother has been the single most meaningful and transformative experience of my life — and also the hardest. From facing high-risk pregnancies, premature birth, feeding struggles, and NICU stays, I know how much it means to have someone by your side who listens, reassures, and nurtures you through it all. I’ve always felt called to this work as a way to honor the generations of women who came before me and to walk beside those navigating this vulnerable, powerful time. It’s a sacred honor to be invited into the inner circle of a birthing woman and hold space as she brings new life into the world and as she is born into motherhood. Professionally, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah. I trained with DONA International and am cross-certified with ProDoula as both a Birth and Postpartum Doula. My journey to becoming a postpartum doula began in 2022, when I became a mother myself. I found that many mothers, myself included, were left to navigate this crucial time without the guidance and support they truly needed. It was in this moment of realization that I knew I wanted to support other women in their postpartum journeys, helping them feel informed, nurtured, and cared for as they adjusted to life with a new baby. In late 2024, I found a postpartum doula training led by an incredible midwife, and I knew this was the path I was meant to take. As a follower of Jesus, my faith is central to everything I do, and I strive to serve others with love and compassion. I love working with families who want to take charge of their own birth experience, however that looks to them. In the past year, I've sort of accidentally found a niche at supporting high risk births, so I'm well versed in how most of the local hospitals deal with labor complications. Beyond that, I'm well informed about supporting physiological births. I teach a prenatal breastfeeding class once a month and host a breastfeeding support group twice a month, both of these are in Kaysville. Helping families is my passion!
