I plan to give birth at a hospital, Bridgman and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Ma. My estimated budget is $2000. I would like be unmedicated for labor and delivery. Delayed umbilical cord cutting. Immediate skin to skin after delivery. The plan if all goes well and no emergencies. I would like my provider to be Christian based, doula and/or midwife certified with at least 5+ years of experience or 50+ birthing experience.

I am looking for a doula or midwife to assist in an unmediated hospital vbac. I’m looking for someone who accepts Mass General Brigham insurance. I’m looking for prenatal visits (in person preferably) as well as labor and birth attendance. I am early on in navigating my first pregnancy. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial in Worcester, but I live in Charlton, MA. I am interested in having a birth doula and ideally the same candidate to help when we transition to home life for a few hours. I’m interested in having an unmediated birth, however I am aware that reality might have a different thought. Movement is a necessity for me. I have a wonderful partner, and would like to complement my support team with someone who can help me transition through labor stages as well as navigate the relationship between doctors/nurses.

This is my first pregnancy, and because I am naturally a very anxious person, it is especially important to me to have a trusted support person in the delivery room who can help advocate for me. I want to ensure that my wishes are clearly communicated and respected throughout labor and delivery, as I may feel overwhelmed in the moment. Having someone act as my voice will help me feel more comfortable, supported, and confident, and will also help ensure that neither I nor my family feel overlooked during this experience. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial and am covered by Mass General Brigham insurance, and I want to take proactive steps to make sure my care team understands and honors my needs.

Plan to give birth at Winchester Hospital. Having my first baby and hoping to have a low-intervention vaginal birth. I'm still considering/learning about specific plan details.
