About me

My name is Rae Pittenger-Jimenez (she/they); I am a midwife, full-spectrum doula, and analog film photographer living in the Pacific Northwest. With over a decade in perinatal healthcare, my work weaves together clinical care with photography and writing, creating a body of work that is both interpretive of the reproductive experience and indexical to the unseen labor of family-building and parenthood. My creative and support practice is informed by years of clinical experience in prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, combined with my own experiences of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.
