Hello everyone, my name is Carmel Laurence and I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula in training in Vancouver, BC.

Hi, I'm Monisha! I'm a Vancouver-based postpartum doula and Newborn Care Specialist with experience supporting newborns, children, and families in their homes. My background includes overnight newborn care, postpartum support, and several years of working as a nanny. I enjoy helping families navigate the early stages of parenthood by providing practical, hands-on support, whether that's caring for their newborn overnight, assisting with feeding and soothing, or giving parents the opportunity to rest and recover. I understand that every family has different needs and preferences, and I believe in providing care that is compassionate, respectful, and tailored to each family. I'm particularly passionate about overnight newborn care and helping parents feel supported, confident, and well-rested during the postpartum period.

Hi! I'm Katya, a labour, birth, & postpartum doula serving the Vancouver (BC) area ✨. I provide compassionate, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally-responsive care that is supportive, educational, and non-judgmental. You can rely on me for physical and emotional support, and to be provided with any and all information to empower you and your family to make informed decisions and play active roles in your labour, birth, and postpartum experiences. I will meet you where you’re at and support/advocate for your choices. I aim to offer nourishing care and come in with an open and receptive heart; to be present with you during your birth and/or postpartum journey and hold space for these sacred moments! In 2024, I received my doula training from Cornerstone Doula Trainings and I'm in the process of becoming a Certified Doula(!). I also partner with Brood Care, Western Canada’s most trusted birth and postpartum care agency, and I'm a proud member of the Doula Services Association of BC. In addition to my training, I am also CPR/AED and Emergency Child Care First Aid certified.

Hi, I’m Kristy Sawatzky, a postpartum doula based out of North Vancouver. I am here to support you through the first weeks and months of parenthood. My work is all about care, nourishment, and creating space — for you, your baby (or babies), and the rhythms of your new life together.

Hi I'm Aya (she/they)! I am a full spectrum doula providing support through fertility, birth, and postpartum. I am also trained to support abortion and loss. I have an background in somatic therapy and herbalism, and have an affinity for Asian and Mexican birth and postpartum traditions. I am mixed race of Japanese and European descent and am queer and non-binary. I love to support LGBTQIA2S+ families, and also provide accessible and affirming support for neurodivergent folks.

My path to becoming a doula began with my own births. As a mother, I have experienced how deeply birth can shape a woman. My last birth, supported by a doula, showed me the quiet power of being held without judgment, without pressure, just steady, present support. It changed everything for me. I have attended seven births so far, each one strengthening my respect for this work and deepening my calling to walk alongside women as they welcome new life. I have completed my doula training through Douglas College, where I developed the knowledge and skills to provide thoughtful, informed, and compassionate care. I believe birth is not something to be feared, but something to be witnessed and supported through. A doula holds that space, grounded and aware, so the mother can let go. With one foot in the conscious world, we create safety, allowing her to turn inward, trust herself, and fully enter the experience. In that space, she returns to herself. She rises into her instinctive, powerful nature. This is the heart of my work. I am committed to practicing cultural safety and honoring every client’s unique background, beliefs, and lived experience. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, heard, and fully supported, exactly as you are. I am there to hold steady, to protect the space, and to support you as you move through one of the most defining moments of your life. Through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and loss, my role is to ensure you feel seen, safe, and supported every step of the way. You can expect calm presence, emotional support, and gentle guidance when you need it most. You will always have someone in your corner. I am committed to continually deepening my knowledge and learning new techniques to better support both mother and baby.

Hi, I’m Nicole! (she/her) I live in New Westminster with my rambunctious toddler, and my husband. We love exploring the outdoors and attending toddler playgroups together. I also love listening to podcasts and dancing in Zumba classes. I have completed both Holistic Birth Doula & Postpartum Doula training through MotherWit Doula Care, as well as the Step 2 Education Breastfeeding Essentials course. I’m so excited to also be a Prenatal Educator with Birth By Bloom/ Dancing Star Birth and teach expecting families at Pomegranate Midwives in East Vancouver. I am certified in CPR-C (trained in CPR for babies, children and adults) for your peace of mind. I have completed a mentorship from Morag Hastings of Apple Blossom Families and Dancing Star Birth. I strive to inform my clients, so you feel confident making educated, evidence-based choices to determine your value system for your birthing experience. I will honour and support those values, encouraging you to root into your instincts and trust your body throughout this physiologic process. I create space to acknowledge the transformation into parenthood and support your family so you feel grounded throughout this time of transition. At your birth, I tune into you and your support people to anticipate your needs, and take care of small details in maintaining the environment, to promote a more nurturing space for you all. I also offer postpartum support to help your family adjust during the postpartum period.

Hi everyone, my name is Megan. I’m a birth and postpartum doula, trained through Doula School Canada, based in Surrey, BC. Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, or something in between, I offer steady, non-judgmental support with the goal of helping you feel confident, informed, and cared for throughout your experience. If this is something you’re interested in, I’m currently offering it at a reduced rate as I begin working specifically with belly designs. In addition to birth support, I offer postpartum care with flexible daytime and overnight availability to help you feel supported during those early weeks.

I am a Registered Massage Therapist and postpartum doula serving the qathet region. I am passionate about supporting families in their first weeks and months with a new baby. I believe the transition to parenthood should not occur in isolation. Every birthing parent and their partner(s) deserve extended rest, mindful support and care while they recover from birth, learn about their new baby and bolster themselves for their new way of life. As your postpartum doula, I am a devoted member of your community, ensuring that you have the tools, education, rest and nourishment you need to thrive during your fourth trimester and beyond!

I’m a caring, calm, and practical family support provider with a diverse professional background in healthcare, childcare, aquatics, first aid, and community work. I spent 12 years working in healthcare with at-risk youth and older adults, and I’m currently completing my Full Spectrum Doula training through Doula School Canada, including postpartum care. I bring that combination of healthcare experience, safety knowledge, and hands-on family support into the way I care for both parents and children. My approach is very individual. I don’t believe there is one “right” way to parent, recover, feed a baby, build a routine, or support a child. I believe in meeting families where they are, listening before assuming, and helping people feel more confident in their own abilities rather than stepping in and trying to take over or “fix” things. Sometimes support means practical help, sometimes it means information or reassurance, and sometimes it means recognizing that someone is exhausted and needs a meal, a shower, a few uninterrupted hours of sleep, or simply another capable adult in the room. With children, I’m calm, creative, and very hands-on. I encourage age-appropriate independence, I’m patient about mistakes, happy to answer approximately nine million questions, and generally not bothered by a little mud, paint, flour, or chaos along the way. I also have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and youth and take an individualized, trauma-informed approach to communication, routines, sensory needs, and emotional regulation. Ultimately, I want the families I support to feel safe, respected, listened to, and more confident — not judged or managed. I bring a lot of professional knowledge into a home, but I never forget that it is your family, your values, and your life. My role is to support you in it.

Hi there, my name is Joann. I am deeply passionate about birth work and understand that each pregnancy and birth experience is unique. My goal is to provide evidence-informed care that empowers families to make the choices that feel right for them. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to support families in the language they feel most comfortable with. When I’m not supporting families, I’m busy with my three children and two Frenchton pups. I love connecting with people, sharing knowledge, and helping parents feel confident and supported during this transformative time.

I am a mother of two children, both of whom I delivered naturally in China and breastfed personally. Through my own hands-on experience, I have developed extensive practical knowledge of newborn care, breastfeeding, infant feeding, sleep routines, and child development. I am able to provide new mothers with practical guidance and support during the early stages of newborn care, especially for first-time parents who may need help and reassurance as they adjust to life with a new baby. I am fluent in English and have a strong understanding of child development and child psychology. I believe in evidence-based parenting and age-appropriate feeding practices, while also adapting to each baby's individual needs and temperament. I am currently completing the later stage of my MBA, so I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate different work arrangements. I am responsible, patient, attentive to detail, and bring both extensive parenting knowledge and real-life hands-on experience caring for infants and children.

I am a mother of 3 who has been called to the Birthing/Parenting community through my own experiences. Though being a parent is a blessing, it can be extremely hard especially without support. I focus on postpartum care to help put the parents at ease.
