My name is Tina Louise and I love supporting families around their birth experience. I'm passionate about birth and working to improve birth outcomes in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. I attended my first birth at the age of 16 years in a homebirth community and knew this was a calling for me. I attended home births, birth centers and hospital births, and finally decided to become certified as a Doula in 2014. I have volunteered with Joy in Birthing Foundation, worked as a private doula under Doula Sisters LA and began with SBCC a as a Community-based Doula in 2018. I am experienced in all forms of doula support, Lactation, Childbirth Education, Spinning Babies, Placenta Encapsulation, Infant Massage and a Reiki II practitioner. I am currently only taking at risk clients for doula support through SBCC and providing birth placenta encapsulation, Spinning Babies classes and Reiki II sessions to Southwest Los Angeles, Long Beach and surrounding cities.

Hello, I’m Vashti. When I’m not helping mommas have their babies I’m enjoying mine. My husband and I are born and raised in Los Angeles County. I dream of raising a house full of kids that can grow up together. When I had my two babies, I knew I wanted to attempt the natural route, and natural I went. My baby girl was born at home in 2023, and my baby boy was born at a birth center in 2025. Having experienced birth in such sweet and different ways, I decided how in love with the birth experience I was. I knew many birth story’s that were expressed as bad, and my hearts desire was to become to those mommas a redemptive roadmap back into the birth world, and to new mommas, a roadmap where a bad birth experience wasn’t in their story - So I became a birth doula. My heart in the birth world as a Christian certified Doula is to remind mothers that they were created for such a miraculous work and are so much more capable of birth then they realize. Juli is fully supportive and embraces all families of every shape, size, color, creed, background, belief, sexual or gender identity. You will find love and caring at Open Heart Midwifery. Upon availability, you may hire the midwife to support you overnight during the postpartum period. Juli brings a wealth of experience with both singletons and multiples and can help families get a good night's sleep. She can also assist with feeding/nursing and newborn care skills.
