My journey to becoming a mother was not easy. I had two very different and difficult births that taught me a lot about myself and the challenges of childbirth. My first birth was a long and exhausting labor that ended in an emergency cesarean. I felt scared, helpless, and disappointed that I couldn’t have the natural birth I wanted. My second birth was a planned cesarian, I felt unprepared, anxious, and overwhelmed by the intensity of the experience and felt guilty for not trying to deliver naturally. Both of my births left me feeling traumatized and in need of healing. ​ These experiences made me realize that there is a gap in the traditional healthcare system when it comes to supporting mothers during birth. I felt that I didn’t get enough information, education, or emotional support from my providers, and that I had to advocate for myself and my baby. I decided to become a doula to fill that gap and to help other mothers have a better birth experience. As a doula, I offer personalized and continuous support to mothers before, during, and after birth. I help them prepare for their birth, cope with their pain, communicate with their providers, and celebrate their achievements. I want every mother to feel empowered, respected, and joyful during their birth.

I am a certified Childbirth Educator through Cornerstone Doula Training. The services I provide are: *Childbirth Education from a physiological standpoint and evidence based information. *Postpartum Doula support for overnights or daytime schedules. What that includes is a list created with you. Like many of us who have decided to become Doulas, I would like to provide the support and resources that I would have enjoyed. Hello! My name is Jessica—also known as Jess or Jessie—a birth doula proudly supporting families across Temecula and San Diego. My journey into birth work has been deeply personal, as I became a mother at seventeen and just recently welcomed a new baby to my family last summer. Born and raised in southern Illinois and married to my wife who grew up in Israel, I blend Midwestern warmth with global perspective in every birth I attend. Having experienced motherhood as a teenager and supporting my wife through her cesarean journey, I understand firsthand the many ways birth can unfold. I am a second-generation doula with a passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum! I’m a dedicated postpartum doula and proud mom of two boys, with a deep passion for supporting families during the early stages of parenthood. My journey working with children began in a Montessori setting, where I cared for little ones ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old. That experience, along with years of babysitting, helped me develop a strong understanding of child development and a genuine love for nurturing young children. Before becoming a postpartum doula, I worked as an overnight nanny, supporting families through those tender and often exhausting newborn nights. It was during this time that I realized how meaningful it was to care not just for babies, but for parents as well. Wanting to provide more intentional, informed support, I pursued professional training to become a postpartum doula. Now, I’m honored to walk alongside families as they adjust to life with a new baby—offering compassionate care, practical guidance, and a calm, reassuring presence during this special transition.

I live in OC with my three amazing children! If I’m not at a birth, you will find us at the beach surfing, playing, and enjoying the outdoors. I fell in love with all things birth when I became pregnant with my 1st child in 2008. As an avid reader and researcher, I made it my goal to learn everything I possibly could about the biology and physiology of birth, and how to have optimal health during and after pregnancy for both me and my baby. Like many first-time moms I have worked with, I had hesitations about giving birth to my 1st baby outside of a hospital setting. After all my research, classes, and conversations with midwives, I gained confidence in aiming for an unmedicated birthing experience. I found some lovely midwifes who had a midwifery ward in a hospital and gave birth to my 1st son unmedicated. Twenty-four hours of intense back labor from a posterior-positioned baby …but, I did it! My body actually did it! After birthing my first, statistically knowing it was the most challenging and longest labor, gave me confidence to choose home births for my second and third children. I had a successful home water birth with my second child and wanted to repeat that with my third. However, while laboring on the toilet with him, I suddenly dropped to my knees when he began to crown, and he became known as my bathroom floor “butter birth” baby :). Though I chose unmedicated births for myself, I do know it is not for everyone, which is more than OK! I quickly learned from my role as a doula that every woman’s body, medical history, and background are uniquely different. Many factors play into choosing the right birth for you. I am here to come alongside you, help you make an informed decision, and then support you every step of the way. I offer very personable and compassionate care. My approach is non-agenda-based, trauma-informed, and holistic-minded. No matter your history or past experiences, I am here to be a safe place for you. I will help educate, support, and advocate for you and your personal wishes. Hi, I’m Jacquelyn! I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula, lactation support provider, placenta encapsulation specialist and mom. I’m passionate about supporting families with calm, compassionate, and unbiased care during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I believe in informed choices, emotional support, and meeting families exactly where they are. My goal is to help you feel confident, supported, and cared for every step of the way.

I have always had a passion for working with children and families. I grew up on a small island in the heart of the Florida Keys. From an early age, I began babysitting and nannying. Once I graduated from high school, I decided to major in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and returned to the Keys to teach elementary school. For 10 years, I worked with many families and children of different ages and abilities, including those with special needs. During this time, I also began practicing yoga and as cliché as it may sound, yoga changed my life. It has provided me with an outlet to focus the mind, control the breath, and explore and appreciate the body. I decided that I wanted to share the powerful and lasting benefits of this practice with others. I have studied hatha, vinyasa, yoga philosophy, meditation, standup paddleboard yoga, and pregnancy + postnatal yoga. It was during my pregnancy + postnatal yoga training that I became interested in becoming a doula. I felt compelled to find a way to provide much needed support for individuals and families before, during, and after birth. I decided then, to pursue a new life and career path. I trained through DONA International to become a certified birth and postpartum doula. I have taken various additional trainings such as Body Ready Method®, Spinning Babies® workshops, rebozo techniques, LGBTQ+ family equality, Spinning Babies® certified parent education, basics of breastfeeding, and infant first aid and CPR. I am committed to using my experience, knowledge, and ability to hold space to provide unbiased informational, emotional, and physical support that empowers you to make the right choices for yourself and your family.
