I am also the mother of six children and the proud grandmother of a little girl, so nurturing babies has been a meaningful part of both my personal and professional life. I own and operate a licensed 5-star childcare program, where infant care has always been the area I enjoy most.. My approach is calm, nurturing and dependable. I have experience with feeding and bottle preparation, diapering, soothing, safe sleep practices, infant routines and supporting parents as they adjust to life with their baby. Hey everyone, name is Tara Duncan and I am a Certified Postpartum and Infant Care Doula as well as Labor doula through Prodoula. After years of working with children ages 0 to 9 years-old, I finally found her passion caring for families doing doula work. I have been a certified doula since 2018 for postpartum, and 2020 for Labor. I care about the mental health and the functionality of families. I believe that knowledge is power; so I am never done learning so that I am able to provide the best up-to-date support and knowledge for families I serve. My name is Laura, I’m a birth doula and prenatal/postnatal yoga teacher. I began my birth work journey after working in maternal mental health research at UNC for 4 years and hearing countless stories of birth trauma which only contributed to new mother's PPD, I decided it was time to be on the front lines and dove headfirst into birthwork. I believe that birth doesn't have to be traumatic, that it can be a sacred, transformative, and empowering journey unique to each individual.

Having grown up in Vermont, I was always around breastfeeding mothers, clean living, and being part of a village for new parents. Upon moving to North Carolina in 2015, I realized the silver lining that was missing in childcare- a cohesive option for care for the newest of babies to any age child, while providing a balance of education, nurturing, and love to the parents. I have a wide variety of experience and certifications in pregnancy, labor, birth, and early parenting. I bring passion and expertise to each and every family she serves. My interest in postpartum work was sparked when my little sister was born; I truly believed that this sweet angel was brought into this world as my baby.
