Welcome. I’m Serena Kachinsky, CPM, RN, a Certified Professional Midwife and Registered Nurse living and practicing on The Farm. Through my individual practice, Metamorphosis Midwifery & Wellness, I serve families throughout southern Middle Tennessee with care that blends more than two decades of emergency nursing experience with the wisdom of traditional community midwifery. My approach is evidence-informed, relationship-centered, and grounded in informed consent, honoring pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as profound rites of passage worthy of individualized, compassionate care. My goal is not simply to help babies be born, but to help parents emerge from birth feeling strong, seen, and empowered. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or growing your family, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and confident in your choices. Through personalized prenatal care, continuous labor support, postpartum follow-up, and a commitment to physiologic birth whenever safely possible, I walk alongside families with clinical expertise, calm presence, and wholehearted support.

I provide personalized home birth midwifery care for low-risk families throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and newborn care. As a CPM and RN practicing on The Farm in Summertown, TN, I combine evidence-based care with informed consent and individualized support. I offer prenatal visits, home birth, postpartum care, lactation support, virtual consultations, and referrals to help families feel informed, empowered, and well cared for.
