Shelby was the perfect balance of expert knowledge, empathy and professionalism. I felt as prepared as I could going into labour because of our sessions together. The overnight sessions with Shelby were also the only reason we got any consistent sleep in the first few weeks. We felt confident that our daughter was safe and cared for during such a sensitive time. I STRONGLY ADVISE any families considering a doula for their pregnancy journey to contact Shelby.

Shelby is a kind, patient and helpful postpartum doula. She helped with taking care of my daughter overnight from 2-6 months old. This includes feeding, burping, changing diapers and putting her back to sleep. In addition she helped wash and sterilize all of the bottles. I was able to catch up on my sleep during the nights she was there, and was always assured that my daughter would be in good hands so I could sleep peacefully.
I highly recommend Shelby for any mama's that are looking for a wonderful postpartum doula. You truly cannot put a price on sleep. Thank you Shelby for all your help!

She is a lifesaver!
I had a fairly difficult pregnancy and she helped me make it through my third trimester without losing my mind. She worked with me from day 1 to postpartum and continues to check in with me.
The Soulfull Doula goes above and beyond without needing to be asked. And when it came to what I needed; whether it being a glass of water or me venting about pregnancy fears, she always got me 🥲

Frequently asked questions
What does a typical overnight shift include?
Overnight support includes diaper changes, soothing and settling your baby, bringing baby to you for feeds if desired, and helping maintain a calm, peaceful environment so you can rest.
What does daytime support include?
Daytime support focuses on newborn care guidance, feeding support, emotional reassurance, light household tasks related to baby care, meal prep, and sibling support if needed.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking as early as possible, ideally during pregnancy, to secure your preferred dates. A $100 deposit is required to hold your dates.
Do you provide breastfeeding support?
Yes! I can assist with latch guidance, pumping, bottle feeding, and general feeding support. I am not a lactation consultant, but I provide hands-on guidance and can refer you to a certified lactation consultant if needed.
Can I hire you for multiple nights or days in a row?
Absolutely! Packages like the Newborn Rest Package are designed for multiple consecutive nights, and daytime support can also be scheduled regularly based on your needs. Many families book months in advance to secure weeks or even months of consecutive support.
Do you support families with multiples or older siblings?
Yes! I tailor my support to meet the needs of your entire family, including multiples and older siblings.
What is the oldest baby you provide support for?
I provide postpartum support for babies up to 6 months old, focusing on the early months of adjustment for both baby and family.
Are you a medical professional?
No, I am not a medical professional. I do not dispense medication or provide medical advice. My role is to provide emotional support, hands-on care, education, and guidance during the postpartum period, and I will always refer you to a licensed healthcare provider for medical concerns.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for changes or cancellations to scheduled shifts. We’ll work together to find a suitable alternative if needed. I have a child myself, so sometimes things come up on my end as well — I’ll do my best to give at least 24 hours’ notice if I need to reschedule. If you wish, I can try to find a replacement doula, or we can work together to find an alternative shift that works for both of us.
