Hi! I’m Candace Born and raised on the sweet islands of Trinidad and Tobago and the oldest of four girls. I spent the first few years of life in a household with my maternal grandmother, learning first hand what it means to care for and nurture a woman. I believe every woman has the right to a safe and healthy pregnancy and birth experience. For over 15 years, I have been working with women, as they journey through what it takes to become pregnant, sustain pregnancy, care for a new life and grieve through pregnancy or infant loss. I am a doula and a yoga practitioner in Frisco and the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex, and I have a Masters of Arts in Physical Activity and Health from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Bavaria, Germany. I speak German and English. I have lived, studied and worked in three different countries and international life is my normal. I like to say that I was born in Canada, I grew up in Germany, and now, I am raising my own family in Frisco, Texas. When a woman has agency, feels supported, can get what she needs (without being made to feel like a burden) and she is respected by the people accompanying her from pregnancy through to postpartum and beyond, she is much more likely to have a positive experience.

My name is Undria, but all my life I’ve been called Angel, and I truly try to live up to that name. As a doula I have, and will help my parents with any questions they may have before birth, and after. No question is off limits, so I want them to feel comfortable to speak on anything that is causing an issue of doubt for them. I’m a breastfeeding educator, so I can also help parents get a good latch after baby is born, and I’m a true supporter of getting baby to latch within the first hour after they are born. I am also available to help the partner who hasn’t given birth feel comfortable with supporting their partner on this journey so that both can be leaning post for each other.

Hi, my name is Sophia! I’m a Registered Nurse, DONA-trained birth doula, and currently pursuing certification through DONA International. My passion for perinatal health and supporting growing families deepened throughout my nursing education, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and gained maternal-newborn experience. I have always had a heart for caring for others, and those who know me often describe me as a compassionate, calming, and encouraging soul. I genuinely enjoy listening to people, learning their stories, and helping them feel seen and supported. Service and faith are also deeply woven into who I am. Serving individuals and families from different backgrounds through global outreach trips has taught me to approach each person with humility, curiosity, and respect for their unique values and experiences. My Christian faith shapes the way I strive to care for others—with compassion, gentleness, and encouragement. Outside of nursing and doula work, I enjoy baking, staying active, volunteering, and spending time with loved ones. I became a doula because while in the military, I was displaced from having a support system. When I got pregnant, I had to give birth in a community that looked nothing like me. I was also wildly uninformed about the rates of maternal morbidity amongst black women. These coupled ideas made me feel really uneasy about my birthing experience. I wanted to make a difference after my experience and becoming a doula turned out to be my life's passion. I pride myself on being open-minded, spiritual, and will provide you with a calm reassuring presence during your pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum.

A Dallas native, Madison was inspired to be a doula as far back as elementary school when she and her older sister watched TLC’s A Baby Story in the early 2000s. Madison completed DONA International Training March 2020. Since 2020, Madison has assisted mothers through VBACs, C-Sections, vaginal births with and without epidurals, home births, birthing center births and hospital births. Madison passionately encourages all pregnant mothers to have a doula who advocates for and is totally focused on the mother’s desires, comfort, and endurance. She builds a relationship her clients before, during and after birth experiences and stays up-to-date on the latest techniques and tools to make the birthing process the best it can be. Madison is a placenta encapsulator and loves talking about all things related to birth. Madison has worked as a nanny for many years since college and has a flexible schedule. I am a new Doula and have completed a Dona approved Doula training. My work background is mostly rooted in hospitality, customer service and yoga.
