Hey there, I’m Ava! I have been a birth + postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and 200hr certified yoga teacher for over 5 years. My work centers around providing evidence based, unbiased support. I won’t lie, it’s a pretty sweet gig – I have the privilege of seeing families form & parents rock their new roles is the everyday. My passion for pregnancy and postpartum also extends beyond my work as a doula. I am fortunate to work with several organizations striving to improve the maternal mortality rate in Arkansas; as well as serving on the Arkansas Reproductive Health Advisory Board. When I’m not doing birth-y things, you might find me chasing down my kiddos, drinking coffee (see: kids), or snuggled up with a blanket & book.

Becoming a lactation consultant has been a deeply personal journey for me. I remember the challenges I faced seeking accessible breastfeeding support and the frustration of finding that care wasn’t always within reach. I feel that no family should have to navigate these hurdles alone. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders (speech-language pathology). After my husband and I welcomed our first child, I discovered my true passion in breastfeeding and lactation. I then completed my Certified Breastfeeding Specialist certification in 2020. I began a clinical internship in 2022 at Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem, Utah, where I worked until 2024 in the mother-baby unit, NICU, and pediatric settings. I became an IBCLC in 2024 and started my private practice. My greatest joy is being a mom to my four children. I've experienced nearly every positive aspect of lactation, as well as its many challenges. My passion lies in offering support that is free of judgment and tailored to fit your family's unique lifestyle.
