I worked with Stephanie prenatally, during labor/delivery, and postpartum too. She was wonderful to work with, a great listener, guided me and my husband well through what we could expect with having our first child, supported me through my various anxieties, and really showed up for us during labor. She was a vital advocate for me while I was at the hospital. She is knowledgable about Spinning Babies (and has received their training), did a visualization exercise with my husband and I in thinking about the unknowns of parenthood and embracing all that was to come, and she was ready and prepared to support us when she came to the hospital. She supported me emotionally and physically through early labor and all the various interventions that became necessary because I was not dilating and my labor was not progressing. Loved working with Stephanie and would recommend her to anyone for support during the birth or new mom phase of life.

Stephanie was a wonderful Doula! We also took child birth education classes with her and we had a great experience and learned a lot as first time parents.
She has lots of great knowledge and is very supportive to her clients. She stuck it out with us through a 3 day labor, at each tough point she provided physical and emotional support, helping to guide and inform us on our journey to support our needs and wants.
Pre-labor we experienced lots of prodromal labor, she checked in often and provided tips for positioning. She is professional but treats you with such caring and compassion that it feels like you have a friend in your corner. I highly recommend using her, she really goes above and beyond. What won us over throughout our time working with Stephanie was her excellent energy! She was fun, positive, and open to our questions and ideas. Stephanie provided my husband and I with the most beautiful experience during her childbirth education class. It was therapeutic, engaging, and spiritual in the most human way possible. When it came time for my home birth, she brought the perfect calming energy to the space and helped reassure and encourage me during the hardest moments (as well as provide some much needed counter pressure to help alleviate back labor). Stephanie assisted me with the birth of my daughter in 2009. I was really determined to have a non-drug birth at the hospital. We had Kaiser in California and they were very accommodating to me having a Doula! Stephanie was a wonderful support and advocated for me! At the moment I was ready to push the nurses told me to stop because the Doctors were changing shifts and I remember Stephanie saying, "No way just push!" She used lots of great calming techniques that really helped me through...and I DID IT!!!!! Really I could have never done it without her (and my husband, of course)!

Stephanie was a great and serene help to me with her friendship and wisdom. Even though I had experienced labor twice before, she compassionately walked me through the possibility (more like reality!) of every labor being unique and unexpected. Stephanie was my birth doula and we worked together for around 6 months (from my 2nd trimester until my daughter was born). What I really appreciated most about working with her is her openness and support towards my birthing decisions. She was my cheerleader all the way! Prior to working with her, giving birth was this scary, mysterious experience of which I had very little understanding. I had an idea of how I wanted to parent my daughter, but I had no clue what was going to happen during the birthing process. Stephanie helped ground me in the reality of birthing, as opposed to distorted ideas I've acquired from watching way too many rom-coms and family dramedies in my lifetime!
