I'm hoping to find a **Brazilian birth doula** or someone who **speaks Portuguese**, as I think it would make me feel more comfortable during labor and birth. Unfortunately, I haven't received the prenatal care I needed for much of my pregnancy due to switching OB-GYNs and dealing with other challenges. As a result, I've often felt dismissed during appointments, and it's been difficult to feel heard or supported by my medical providers. I'm hoping to find a doula who can be a supportive presence during the remainder of my pregnancy, help me prepare for birth, and provide reassurance and advocacy during labor and delivery. Having someone in my corner who will listen, help me ask questions, and support my birth preferences would mean a great deal to me. I’m planning to give birth at New York Presbyterian lower Manhattan. I am looking for a birth doula and a laceration consultant for a few sessions of support after my birth. I am also interested in postpartum doula support in the first month after birth to help me learn to care for my infant and help me heal since this is my first child.

We are based in Manhattan and looking for overnight newborn care starting the week of July 27th, 3x/week for 2-4 weeks.
