I am a birth doula and childbirth mentor/educator located in Orange County, CA. The primary focus of my work is to improve birth outcomes for marginalized communities and to reduce (ideally eradicate) birth trauma. My training is mostly through an organization called Birthing From Within and I highly recommend their reading materials for individuals at any stage, from pre-conception to postpartum. My philosophy is that you, the pregnant person, have all of the wisdom and ability within you and we can work together to awaken that within you.

Nicolle Kasch is a Hypnobirthing practitioner, certified hypnotherapist, fertility & birth doula, and all around impassioned nerd surrounding topics such as fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, and human rights. Since 2014 she has been helping families feel more informed, confident and empowered to achieve their goals as they welcome a new little soul into their lives. I offer overnight support for families with newborns. Besides supporting parents in the care for their newborn I also love to ‘mother the mother’ as she needs to rest and recover in the fourth trimester. I offer practical support, such as help with (breast)feeding, making sure mom stays hydrated and rested, clean bottles and pump parts, help with baby laundry etc. I also provide evidence based information on newborn care as well as emotional support to process all the changes and offer parents encouragement where needed. I am a Labor and Delivery RN, BSN, RNC OB with 25 years of high risk nursing experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, breastfeeding support and newborn nursery. I would love to use that lifetime of experience to help new families make a happy, healthy and enjoyable adjustment to the postpartum period. I want to do home and tele health visits to help support families in learning how to take great after birth care of mom and babies. Many couples in our area go home from the hospital feeling unsure and somewhat overwhelmed with their new precious responsibility. I would like to provide reassuring presence for them to make a comfortable, relaxed and confident start to their new job of parenting. Let's look back at my life before motherhood when the idea of childbirth intimidated me more than anything, thanks to all those stories and dramatic TV shows with women screaming their heads off in the delivery room. When I became pregnant with my daughter back in 2020, I dove into research, preparing my mind, body, and spirit for a positive birth—but I completely overlooked planning for postpartum and felt quite overwhelmed. Wanting to enhance my skills, I completed a 112-hour training with Bebo Mia Inc. and became certified with Pro Doula to become a full-spectrum doula. My journey also led me to explore the rich traditions of Mexican indigenous birth and postpartum practices, allowing me to honor my heritage while expanding my knowledge.
