Hi! My name is Tia Tucker-Cain. I am a Certified Full Spectrum Doula supporting families nationwide. My current homebase is Columbia, SC and I support many of the surrounding areas. In addition to being a Doula I am a Certified Community Health Worker, Certified Lactation Educator, and a Childbirth Educator. I love supporting families from preconception through the first year of the postpartum journey. I believe every person deserves to have full decision making control over their body and baby. I am passionate about families feeling prepared and supported. I will do everything I can to keep your peace protected and your birth space sacred.

I currently offer birth, labor, and postpartum doula support. In addition, I offer childbirth education, lactation services, newborn care education, and overnight postpartum doula services.
Without Tia I don’t know how my birth experience would have gone. From experiencing a pregnancy after loss, Tia’s support made my labor and delivery go smoothly. I am blessed to have found Tia. I had a difficult pregnancy and my preterm baby had health issues. We contracted Tia for postpartum services. She cared for my baby and took care of whatever I asked her to do in my home. I felt totally comfortable leaving my IUGR-tiny baby with Tia and closing my bedroom door to get eight long, refreshing hours of sleep, and a long, hot shower. At the end of each shift, Tia provided me a list of things that she did including diaper changes (#1 and/or #2), sleep and wake times, and feeding times (how much, and how long). She shared with me anything that may have occurred during the night. She was an awesome source of information about the baby being that I'm a first time mom. Tip: Give yourself and your village a rest and contract Tia for doula services!
