About me

Hi, I'm Vanessa, the heart behind The Nessasary Doula. As an Advanced Trained Certified Birth Doula and Community Lactation Educator, I've had the privilege of supporting families through some of life's most meaningful moments. My passion for birth work became deeply personal after experiencing the loss of my triplet pregnancy in 2020, followed by a challenging postpartum journey after the birth of my first son in 2021. Those experiences opened my eyes to the incredible difference that compassionate support, education, and encouragement can make, and they inspired me to become the kind of doula I once needed. Today, I'm honored to support families with evidence-based education, continuous encouragement, and a calm, reassuring presence throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I believe every family deserves to feel informed, respected, and empowered to make the decisions that are right for them. As a wife and mother of two boys, I understand that every birth story is unique, and it's my privilege to walk alongside you and your loved ones as you prepare to welcome your newest addition.
