About Vanessa

Hi, I'm Vanessa, the heart behind The Nessasary Doula. As an Advanced Trained Certified Birth Doula and Community Lactation Educator, I've had the privilege of supporting families through some of life's most meaningful moments. My passion for birth work became deeply personal after experiencing the loss of my triplet pregnancy in 2020, followed by a challenging postpartum journey after the birth of my first son in 2021. Those experiences opened my eyes to the incredible difference that compassionate support, education, and encouragement can make, and they inspired me to become the kind of doula I once needed. Today, I'm honored to support families with evidence-based education, continuous encouragement, and a calm, reassuring presence throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I believe every family deserves to feel informed, respected, and empowered to make the decisions that are right for them. As a wife and mother of two boys, I understand that every birth story is unique, and it's my privilege to walk alongside you and your loved ones as you prepare to welcome your newest addition.

Birth Doula Package

I provide full-service doula support for $950*. This price includes: Two prenatal visits During these visits we'll discuss: -Birth preferences -Comfort techniques -Labor stages -Partner preparation -Hospital expectations -Postpartum planning -Breastfeeding basics Childbirth education Custom birth plan Doctor's appointment debriefing In-person comfort measure training Intervention training Continuous labor & birth support from active labor through delivery. Support includes: Positioning Counter pressure Hip squeezes Breathing guidance Relaxation Partner coaching Emotional encouragement Evidence-based information Helping you communicate your preferences with your care team Immediate postpartum support up to 2 hours after birth Breastfeeding support 2 postpartum visits (up to 3 hours each) Unlimited phone/text access from time of hire On-call support beginning at 36 weeks

How does the process work?

If you decide that you would like to have The Nessasary Doula for your birth, the next step would be to schedule a Consultation Call with me! During that call, we will discuss your specific needs and expectations of me as your doula. We will also discuss the package more in depth, along with pricing. From there, if you decide that I am a right fit for you, we would move forward in signing the contract, and a deposit of $300 is due at that time to reserve your due date.
