Hello! I'm Kaytalyn Winston, Certified Birth, and Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Support Educator, Childbirth Educator, and Newborn Sleep Consultant. My passion for birth began through my own motherhood journey. I am the mother of two beautiful children, my daughter was  born at a birth center and my son was born at home. Experiencing the power, beauty, and transformation of physiological birth firsthand deeply shaped my view of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. My experience of being fully held and supported by a doula myself ignited a love and drive for supporting women as they navigate their own journeys into motherhood. In addition to my personal birth experiences, I have also had the unique honor and privilege of serving as a surrogate for a close friend. Walking through pregnancy and birth from both the perspective of a mother and a gestational carrier has given me a profound appreciation for the many different paths families take to welcome a child. I believe that every mother deserves to feel seen, supported, informed, and honored throughout each stage of motherhood. Birth is not simply about bringing a baby into the world, it is a transformational rite of passage for a woman and her family. My role is to provide compassionate guidance, evidence-based education, emotional support, and practical care so that families can make informed decisions and approach birth with confidence. My birth philosophy centers on trusting the innate wisdom of the mother and the physiological design of the body while ensuring families have the knowledge and support needed to navigate birth in the way that feels right for them. I strive to create a space where women feel empowered to use their voice, trust their intuition, release all fears and tension, and make decisions aligned with their values and goals. I support families across a variety of birth settings, including home births, birth centers, and hospitals. I have a special passion for supporting physiological birth, VBACs, water births, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and helping families establish healthy newborn feeding and sleep rhythms. Experience and Expertise: • Birth Doula Support (Epidural Support Certified, Spinning Babies, Hypnobirthing, Evidenced Based Birth)
 • Postpartum Doula Support
• Childbirth Education
 • Lactation and Feeding Support
• Newborn Care Education
• Newborn Sleep Solutions
 • Birth Planning, Preparation, and Pregnancy Support
 • VBAC Support
• Birth Story Documentation
• Intended Parent and Surrogacy Support
• Emotional Releasing, Processing and Birth Debriefing
 • Practical Household, Nutritional Meal Preparation and Recovery Support During Postpartum I hold a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and have completed professional birth and postpartum doula, and lactation training through MaternityWise International. My background in education allows me to teach and guide families in a way that is approachable, individualized, and empowering. It is my desire to walk alongside you, providing the support, encouragement, and education you need to feel confident throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and beyond. Motherhood is sacred work, and it is my honor to support and celebrate you every step of the way.

Five stars, and I'd give more if I could. I had Kaytalyn by my side for both of my births, and I can't recommend her enough. My first birth was long and exhausting, and I truly don't know how I would have made it through without her. She stayed steady and encouraging the entire time, and she knew exactly when I needed a hand to hold, a change in position, or just a few quiet words to keep going. She made me feel safe, heard, and capable. By my second birth, having her there felt like having a trusted friend in the room. She advocated for my wishes, supported my partner too, and made both experiences far better than I could have imagined..

I came to liz to seek lactation support. My 2 month old was struggling at nursing, getting very rigid and stiff with colic and eventually was only able to nurse in one position. She helped me get to the root cause of my babies struggles which ended up being a tongue tie. She referred me to great providers to help with this process. I followed up with her after to help my little one retrain his tongue and making sure latching continued to go well.

Kimberly Onile

Hi! I'm Kim, your local midwife. The story of how I came to be here in Utah, serving women through pregnancy and birth is an interesting one. My education consists of a Bachelor of Art in Sociology with an Emphasis in Ethnic Studies, a Juris Doctorate with Emphasis in Criminal Law, and Certification as a Professional Midwife. My calling has always been to serve people in a humble, practical and pragmatic way. Creating positive change in people' s lives in the most efficient way possible. Over the years, this guiding principle has taken me on many adventures through different areas of life, different communities, and around the world. I grew up the child of two Air Force parents (Lawrence Hardeman and Cynthia Wright), traveling back and forth to Japan over my early years and around the US as I got older. During my settled years, I lived in Kansas City, Missouri. Unbeknownst to me, a distant ancestor of mine was one of the first to settle that area before Missouri was even a state. Peter Hardeman Burnett, a lawyer who defended Joseph Smith while detained in the Liberty Jail, adventurer who led 1000 pioneers on the Oregon Trail, and eventually became the first governor of California. During my college years I became a mother for the first time and with the help of a fantastic nurse midwife I endured 19 hours of pitocin induction with no epidural. I was so young and naive at the time I didn't understand the true blessing she was in my life. That revelation hit me during my second birth, where a midwife wasn't available. That was the hardest pregnancy, the most life threatening delivery, and the most depressing postpartum experience of them all. I waited five years before deciding I was ready for another and this time I studied, I scoured my city for resources, and I found another amazing midwife. That birth was magical. I created an experience with the support of my midwife, my husband, my mother and mother in law that healed every traumatized part of my soul. My fourth birth was even better because I had a home birth midwife that time who helped me feel empowered and confident beyond what I had achieved in my prior pregnancies. This is when I decided that a law degree is nice, but midwifery lights my FIRE! I started my training soon after my son's birth and haven't looked back since. Beginning a career as a midwife during the height of a worldwide pandemic, when hospitals prioritized control over freedom in birth, was truly a gauntlet. Women sought out of hospital birth for the first time, fueled by fear and anxiety. I learned to meet women where they were at and move them into a space of peace, calm, and confidence in their bodies and their babies. In that space, my midwife mind was developed. I served hundreds of families in Missouri and Kansas, some families as far as 3 hours from my home because no midwife would travel to them. I gladly chose to drive hours round trip for home visits and births, because on those long drives through the Kansas plains, I was able to lay down prayers with every mile. Asking God, "Where do you want me? How do I get there? When should I go?" Like my ancestor, Peter Hardeman Burnett, the answer was "Go West, to the mountains". Full of faith, I began winding down my Kansas City practice and made plans to move to Utah. I married my spouse under the aspen trees at the foot of the mountains in Rotary Glen Park in Park City, UT and began building a life here. Now, I find myself rooted in the same valley as you all, with open arms and an open heart, ready to serve the families that are sent my way.

Kim has provided nothing but the best care throughout my entire pregnancy and after for my little boy and I! I have felt honored and valued- nothing less! She is markedly professional, yet empathic and open with personal anecdotes when asked. While passionately supportive of your goals and values, she openly explains the full spectrum of each topic to empower your best decisions- ultimately respectful and supportive of your final decision. I love how Kim is so knowledgable about natural ways to address comfort/concerns and willing to try these before moving onto medical interventions. I was continually impressed by her ability to recommend several natural remedies to try when I mentioned anything under the sun! Not only that, but why they work and their benefits/risks. Her philosophy and passion about midwifery is evident. Im so grateful for her role in my natural childbirth and hope to have her again for a homebirth with our next child! Thank you ♡

October 2026

Kaytalyn was an amazing asset to have during my pregnancy and labor journey! When I found out I was pregnant I knew I needed a doula as I wanted to try my best at an unmedicated birthing experience. She helped us understand all of our options that we would be asked during labor and in creating a birthing plan. She was always opened minded to our opinions and feelings. Plot twist, my pregnancy experience, while mostly normal 1st and 2nd trimester, took a huge turn at 30 weeks…when my water broke…with a breeched baby. Even during this time, Kaytalyn found ways to provide her help, she visited us at the hospital to discuss what we could do and how we could feel more prepared during, arguably, the worst time of our lives. Then came a spontaneous active labor experience a week later, I called Kaytalyn to let her know I had been feeling really bad cramps in the night- she gave me some advice and immediately came to the hospital, she arrived a few minutes after the doctor did and just before I was rolled back for a c-section. I was feeling very fearful of course and in the midst of the chaos I remember Kaytalyn asking why I was scared and we came up with the mantra “I am safe. My baby is safe”. I held onto that repeating it over and over again as I was rolled down the hall to the operation room and many times during our 60 day NICU stay. With my baby coming so early we were unprepared when it came to necessities and pumping, but when I came back to the room Kaytalyn was there waiting (communicating with my mother giving her updates) and ready to help make a makeshift pumping bra, how to use my pump machine, and what we could quickly order that we would need. Given all that had happened, her help with this was everything and more, one less thing to have to figure out while having to deal with so much. I’m not from Utah and my family doesn’t live here, so it was really great to have that extra support Kaytalyn was able to provide. If we ever have a second child (hopefully with a less traumatic experience) I would love to have Kaytalyn by my side again and I recommend you do the same! -Venessa

September 2026

Kaytalyn was absolutely phenomenal from the day I told her I was pregnant through 12 weeks postpartum. I truly wish we hadn’t moved so I could have had her by my side for my second birth, too! She met with me one-on-one to talk through all things birth (and answer my many, many questions), and she also met with my husband and me in our home to practice and rehearse labor positions so we felt prepared going into birth. When things picked up at 2 a.m. on the day our baby was born, Kaytalyn was there. She stayed by my side for the entire labor and was such a constant source of encouragement, support, and reassurance. My husband even joked afterward that he wasn’t sure she ever left my side to use the bathroom! She was more than a doula, she was truly a partner in the entire process, before, during, and after birth. I’m so grateful for the care she gave our family and would recommend her services wholeheartedly to anyone preparing to welcome a baby.
