I need someone to help my baby get a good latch. She is four days old. She can handle a bottle really well but struggles to latch onto my nipple
Baby refusing bottle. Mom needs to go back to work. Have tried many bottles, different people offering feeds, different times of day, baby hungry and semi-hungry. Always using expressed milk. Need consultation on how best to proceed.
I'm about to have my first baby and plan to breastfeed but I don't know anything about it.
Looking for support and education for a hospital birth (Intermountain Medical Center) which will be supervised by our obstetrician. Hoping for minimum necessary medical intervention (e.g. no or low-dose epidural). Hoping to focus on breathing, mindset, mobility during delivery. Also looking for lactation consultant support as needed. Certified doula and lactation consultant required. We are a 29 year old first time mom with supportive spouse. English language primary. Budget around $3,000 total but open to negotiation.
I need help troubleshooting why my 4 mo old baby is not latching on the breast. He will only feed with a nipple shield. As a result, his weight gain hasn't been very good, and he has dropped percentile. I am trying to offer him formula after feeds but he refuses the bottles.
Baby has a lip tie and doesn’t stay latched. Need help getting a better latch and getting his weight up
I am a first-time mom with a 3-week-old baby girl who is breastfeeding. We are struggling with a very shallow latch—she mostly latches onto my nipple instead of taking enough of the breast, which has caused significant nipple pain and damage. I am currently using nipple shields during feedings, which have helped with the pain, but I don’t want to rely on them long term. I have already seen a lactation consultant through my pediatrician’s office, but we weren’t able to fully resolve the latch issue. I was prescribed a nipple cream that has helped, but I also believe I may be experiencing nipple vasospasms due to the pain and color changes after feeding. I’m looking for an experienced IBCLC who can evaluate my baby’s latch and oral function, help us achieve a deeper, pain-free latch, assess positioning, and determine whether there are any underlying issues such as a tongue or lip tie. I would also appreciate guidance on protecting my milk supply while we work through this, ensuring my baby is transferring milk effectively, and creating a plan to transition away from nipple shields if possible.
Hi! My baby is starting to have what I think is a blister on her upper lip from breastfeeding. She feeds fine and is gaining weight. My nipples are still sore and the pain is pretty bad when she first latches on. Just want to make sure we are doing this right. First time mom here.
I am seeing an OBGYN at the University of Utah hospital here in Salt Lake but I am searching for a doula that could advocate for my more natural leaning birth plan in case I am unable to do so. This is my first baby and I am more wholistic minded but do not completely trust that the hospital will respect my wishes and I am hoping to find someone that will be consistent with my wishes and advocate for them where needed. I am also looking for someone that is covered by Aetna insurance.
I need support in my pregnancy and delivery. I will be giving birth in a hospital facility.
Hi, I am not expecting, however I found Dr. Gunn’s name in a directory given to me by The Breathe Institute. I am a patient of Dr Zaghi’s seeking tongue tie surgery in the next couple months and am looking for a Myofunctional therapist who might accept insurance. I am not sure if Dr. Gunn sees patients who are not expecting or if she accepts insurance, but thought I would reach out in case. Thank you!
Giving birth at Riverton hospital. I am curious if the cost but we can afford up to $4000. I want to go natural but i’m worried I don’t have the pain tolerance.
Hospital birth, 300/400 dollar budget, want an unmedicated vaginal birth, a provider who has certification
Intermountain health Layton Utah is where I will deliver my baby. I would like a natural birth.. 2,000 is top top of the budget. I am interested in hypnosis, coaching. English as language spoken, someone that will include my husband as he is very excited to participate. Experience in lactation, placenta encapsulation, and massage is a plush. Reiki is also something interesting to me. If they can help with postpartum meals, or cleaning that is a plus but not required. We live in Ogden utah. And no special circumstances besides it is my first baby!!!
I'm planning on having a hospital birth. I'd love to find a doula that is covered by insurance. I'm still putting together a more detailed birth plan currently since we recently found out we're expecting our 2nd baby.
