Hello, Red Deer hospital is where I will be giving birth. As of right now natural birth is the plan. This is our first baby and we couldn’t be more excited ! I’m 39 and my hubby is 41. My hubby owns a successful extremely busy oilfield company so looking for a little help from someone we connect with and trust. Thank you

1. Where do you plan to give birth (home/hospital)? Hospital. 2. Provide your estimated budget Our estimated budget for doula support is $1,500. We are most interested in meaningful support that focuses on emotional reassurance, breastfeeding guidance, and helping us adjust during the early postpartum period. 3. Describe your birth plan This is my first baby, so I’m keeping my birth plan flexible and open-minded. My main goal is to feel calm, supported, and informed throughout the process. I plan to give birth in a hospital and would like to aim for a low-intervention birth if possible, while fully trusting medical guidance if plans need to change. Emotional support and reassurance are very important to me, especially as someone who can feel anxious in new situations. My priorities include: Feeling supported and advocated for during labor My partner being involved and supported as well Skin-to-skin contact after birth if possible Support with early breastfeeding and latching A calm, positive environment that helps reduce stress and overwhelm I value guidance, reassurance, and gentle encouragement over a rigid birth plan, and I’m looking for support that helps me feel confident as I transition into motherhood.

I will be giving birth at the Lethbridge hospital. I was unable to get a midwife so I am looking at potentially getting a doula to support me in having an unmedicated birth. My fiance is extremely supportive and will want to do anything he can to help but he lacks the vast knowledge of different coping mechanisms that a doula would have.

Need help with breastfeeding. I think I have a shallow latch leading to issues
