Hi, I’m McKenzie! I’m a trained birth doula through the National Black Doulas Association, serving Albany, GA, and surrounding 229 areas. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (Health Education & Promotion) and a Master of Public Health (Health Promotion & Behavior), and I’m a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®). I’m currently deepening my practice through the Georgia Black Doulas Network training institute (2025–2026 cohort), working toward full certification while continuing to serve my community. As the founder of Red Dirt Births, I create space for advocacy and healing to honor southern roots and the everyday habits that shape our health and birth experiences. My work blends public health, education, and mindful awareness to understand how our actions, patterns, and environments influence the way we prepare for and experience birth. This isn’t just work for me. It’s devotion. I’m here to help you feel informed, supported, and grounded as you move through your birthing journey.

I am a homebirth midwife and doula. The word Doula means maid servant. The first and most important role of the doula is to serve the laboring woman. When a woman is comfortable, supported, and encouraged she will be able to focus on her work of bringing her baby into this world!
 There is a specific beauty in women supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and post partum. My only desire is to see every woman supported, encouraged, and loved throughout this journey into motherhood. Whether it be for the first time or the tenth! This is not a role to take lightly. Being chosen in any role for a birth is an absolute privilege! I hope every woman has the birth experience she desires!

I am a Certified Doula through GBDN and a proud SisterSong partner, centering reproductive justice and collective liberation in my work. My path is further enriched by my certification as a Perinatal Patient Navigator from Morehouse School of Medicine, equipping me to support families with advocacy, education, and access to resources that improve birth outcomes. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I integrate bodywork and somatic awareness into my care, offering families both physical and emotional relief. Rooted in spiritual, holistic, and wellness-centered practices, I empower families to feel nurtured, informed, and confident every step of the way.
