The cost of a night nanny in Ashcroft, BC can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Ashcroft, BC, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. My path to becoming a doula began with my own births. As a mother, I have experienced how deeply birth can shape a woman. My last birth, supported by a doula, showed me the quiet power of being held without judgment, without pressure, just steady, present support. It changed everything for me. I have attended seven births so far, each one strengthening my respect for this work and deepening my calling to walk alongside women as they welcome new life. I have completed my doula training through Douglas College, where I developed the knowledge and skills to provide thoughtful, informed, and compassionate care. I believe birth is not something to be feared, but something to be witnessed and supported through. A doula holds that space, grounded and aware, so the mother can let go. With one foot in the conscious world, we create safety, allowing her to turn inward, trust herself, and fully enter the experience. In that space, she returns to herself. She rises into her instinctive, powerful nature. This is the heart of my work. I am committed to practicing cultural safety and honoring every client’s unique background, beliefs, and lived experience. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, heard, and fully supported, exactly as you are. I am there to hold steady, to protect the space, and to support you as you move through one of the most defining moments of your life. Through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and loss, my role is to ensure you feel seen, safe, and supported every step of the way. You can expect calm presence, emotional support, and gentle guidance when you need it most. You will always have someone in your corner. I am committed to continually deepening my knowledge and learning new techniques to better support both mother and baby.

Hi there! I’m Rachel, a certified birth and postpartum doula. I support families through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood with calm, compassionate, and evidence-based care. My goal is to help you feel informed, empowered, and nurtured every step of the way so you can focus on welcoming your baby with confidence, peace and a confident plan moving in to this new chapter of family life.

I truly can’t imagine our birth experience without Rachel. From the moment she joined us, she brought such a calm, reassuring presence into what ended up being a very long and difficult labour and delivery. As first time parents, we were navigating completely unfamiliar territory, and having someone we trusted by our side made all the difference. Rachel was our steady constant. She advocated for us, explained what was happening, helped us make informed decisions, and somehow managed to make a stressful experience feel as peaceful as it possibly could. She wasn’t just a doula. She became a source of comfort, strength, and reassurance. She knew exactly when to offer guidance, when to encourage, and when to simply be there. What has meant just as much is that her care didn’t end when our son was born. Even with no obligation to, she has continued to check in, offer support, and show up with thoughtful acts of kindness. It speaks volumes about the kind of person she is and how deeply she cares about the families she supports. If you’re considering hiring Rachel, do it. She is worth every penny and then some. We will always be grateful for the role she played in bringing our son into the world, and I genuinely don’t know how we would have gotten through it without her.

Hayden Brame

11 years of experience

Hi everybody! My name is Hayden Brame and I am a doula here in the Twin Cities. I have been working with children and their families since I was a teenager (more than 10 years now!) and am so passionate about families and making sure that every family has the best start imaginable. I believe that giving birth should be empowering and focus on the choices that you are able to make and on giving you the information that you need to make those choices. I will advocate for your decisions, from everything from what music to be played to what pain management you would prefer, and I will also hold space in the moment for any changes that you need. Birth is sacred and should be treated as such- at the end of this experience, you'll have a new member of your family to start a life with and I want to make sure that you are set up for success every step of the way!

Hayden was a wonderful doula to have at my first birth. Her experience with a TENS unit, acupressure points, and applying counter pressure during all my contractions was crucial to my smooth labor. She kept track of all my contractions and when they began to get farther apart she encouraged me to start walking. She also coached my husband and sister on counter pressure so they could help me as well. Hayden’s calm presence helped keep me stable and focused throughout the day and I’m so thankful that she could guide me through my first birth!
