Hello, my name is Martha J. I am a Certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) with over 24 years of hands-on experience supporting families since 2000. I am deeply drawn to this work because I value the family environment and the critical role of care during the earliest days after birth. I provide emotional and practical support to parents both individually and as a couple, helping them navigate the transition with confidence and calm. Supporting mothers during the first weeks postpartum is a true calling for me. Caring for the newborn while parents recover from the long, demanding hours of labor, whether in a hospital setting or following a home birth, is work I find meaningful. I am experienced in breastfeeding support, including baby latching, milk production, expression, safe milk storage, and bottle feeding. Hi! I'm Lacey Dowlearn! I am a Birth Boot Camp certified Childbirth Educator and Certified Birth Doula serving Round Rock families. My journey in birth work began in 2007 with the first pregancy in my group of friends. She had mentioned wanting a midwife and I started researching. I had caught the birth bug and was hooked! The idea of women helping women made my heart happy. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to be an apprentice midwife at several freestanding birth centers; labor support for homebirth, birth center and hospital clients in Round Rock and surrounding areas and have recently certified as a CBE and Doula with Birth Boot Camp. I've been married to my partner, Danny, since April 2008. He has supported me through this journey and is a great partner. I am a mom to two beautiful little girls, Annie and Jane. Both of my births took place in my home accompanied by a midwife, my very first midwifery preceptor. I breastfed both of my babies for 2 years, tandem for 6 months.
