Hi there! I’m Stephanie, a birth doula based in Salem, and I’m so excited to support you and your family through this transformative journey. Before stepping into birth work, I spent 11 years as a teacher, working with students from diverse backgrounds. That experience shaped my deep belief in meeting people where they are, adapting my approach to their individual needs, and honoring their personal goals. Birth is not one-size-fits-all, and you deserve support that respects your choices, values, and instincts. Whether you're navigating pregnancy, preparing for birth, or adjusting to life with a new little one, I’m here to provide compassionate care every step of the way. I believe that knowledge is power—especially when it comes to birth. My approach is rooted in evidence-based care, giving you the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions while leaving space for what feels right for you. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, birth center experience, or home birth—with or without medication—I trust you to make the best choices for your body, your pregnancy, and your baby. My role is to provide guidance, reassurance, and continuous support so you can navigate this journey feeling empowered and prepared. I also understand that birth doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it’s an experience that impacts your partner, family, and birth team. That’s why I provide comprehensive support to your entire circle, making sure everyone feels informed, involved, and empowered. Birth isn’t just about the baby—it’s about you, your well-being, and the experience you want to create. Inclusivity and respect are at the heart of my practice. I’m passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and emotional well-being, and I firmly believe that every family deserves the support they need—whether that’s through professional help, community resources, or simply having someone to lean on. I am committed to being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and advocating for anti-racist practices in all aspects of my work. Your family is unique, and I’m here to support you in a way that feels right for you. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll probably find me curled up with a romance or fantasy novel, getting lost in a new crafting project, or tending to my ever-growing collection of plants (and trying to give away new starts I’ve rooted on my windowsill). I also love experimenting with vegetarian and vegan recipes, going on long walks, and enjoying imaginative games with my husband and two kids. No matter how your birth unfolds, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and fully supported. Whether you're loving every moment of pregnancy or just trying to survive it, you don’t have to do it alone. I’d love to walk alongside you on this journey!

Her background includes a BS from U.C Santa Barbara and 95 hours of lactation consultation training through Lactation Education Resources. She has a passion for helping families get the care they need during the postpartum period and recently opened Wildflower Postptarum Center with a goal of providing integrated, high quality, accessible care. Having Ashley throughout this experience as a first time, mom was such a big help. She’s amazing at supporting and helping you understand your choices! She helped me feel comfortable and confident about what I needed or felt like through my pregnancy. I can’t wait for baby number 2!

— Kyera C., review of Ashley Isley August 2026

ashley was my doula and helped me TREMENDOUSLY! she always went above and beyond for me while i was pregnant and even after! she was always there to answer every call and every text for any concern or question i had. she really cares about her clients and makes them feel seen and heard. i couldn’t have done my pregnancy without her!

— meagan b., review of Ashley Isley July 2026

Ashley is an amazing person and an incredible doula! I never want to have another baby without her by our side. She gave me and my husband a ton of information to help us feel a lot more confident going into labor and delivery. She was very helpful in the delivery room, keeping us company and making sure I was comfortable and taken care of. She made us feel safe and secure in all of our decisions and made me feel safe with my delivery team when I was scared. If we have any more kids, we will absolutely hire Ashley again. I can't imagine going through another labor and delivery without her.
