Geeta supported our family as an overnight doula during the first few weeks of our daughter’s life, and having her in our home was such a relief and a pleasure. She not only made us feel more confident as parents, but took time to check in on my own recovery in addition to caring for our daughter. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!

Simone has been holding space for expecting and postpartum families for over 10 years. Birth has a powerful way of healing and transforming you, and her first birth did just that. The ability to have 2 empowered births the way she wanted, gave light to the need for advocacy, education and doula support amongst the birthing community, especially black families. Simone is a mother, doula, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, childbirth educator and infant sleep educator. She has been teaching and mentoring doulas along the way and excited to dive deeper into holding the hands of the next generation of birth workers.

I cannot say enough good things about Simone as our night doula and lactation consultant. From the moment she entered our home, she brought a sense of calm, compassion, and expertise that made an immediate difference in our postpartum experience. As a second-time mom navigating recovery, sleep deprivation, and feeding challenges, her presence was nothing short of a gift. She supported our entire family with such gentleness and professionalism. Her overnight care allowed us to get desperately needed rest, knowing our baby was in kind, capable hands. Her lactation guidance was equally invaluable. She offered evidence-based support with zero judgment—troubleshooting tummy issues, providing reassurance, and giving practical tools that worked. Thanks to her help, I went from overwhelmed and in pain to confident and empowered. I did not feel a bit of judgment when I chose to go from breastfeeding to formula due to my baby's tummy issues. She listened deeply, responded thoughtfully, and truly respected our parenting values. She didn’t just care for our baby—she cared for us. If you're looking for someone who is not only highly skilled but also emotionally attuned and reliable, I wholeheartedly recommend Simone. She’s an absolute gem and a vital part of our early parenting story.

You shouldn’t have to go into birth or postpartum feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or alone. I’m a DONA-certified birth doula, and my role is to help you feel supported and steady as labor unfolds. I focus on helping you understand what’s happening in real time. Through pelvic dynamics, positioning, and movement, I guide you through labor in a way that supports progress while helping you stay grounded in the moment. We prepare ahead of time so you feel more familiar with how birth settings work and what to expect as decisions come up, instead of trying to figure it out on the spot. For clients continuing into postpartum, I offer hands-on support with recovery, feeding, and overnight care so the transition feels more manageable. Based in Rockland County, NY, I support clients across Northern NJ and the Hudson Valley. I’m also listed in the Carrot directory for reimbursement.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Mandi! From the very beginning, she brought such calm, positive energy and made me feel empowered, informed, and supported every step of the way. Her presence during labor was exactly what I needed—encouraging, grounding, and deeply compassionate. She listened to what I wanted, respected my choices, and offered gentle guidance when I needed it most. I felt truly seen and cared for. Having her by my side made a world of difference, and I’m so grateful she was part of my birth story. If you’re considering hiring a doula, stop searching—you’ve found the best. Thank you, Mandi, for being such a beautiful part of this journey!

Christina was absolutely amazing throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. She was always available when I needed her and made me feel incredibly supported and cared for. My birth ended up being very traumatic, and having Christina there as a source of comfort and support meant more to me than I can express. She continued to be there for me postpartum as well, always checking in and answering my questions. I’m so grateful she was part of my journey and would recommend her to any expecting mom.

Before I went to Jade's childbirth class at Montclair BABY, I had never heard of a doula. Her class was holistic of all the options during labor and delivery, and my husband and I felt like Jade could be the perfect support person to ease my anxiety during pregnancy and labor. We were absolutely right. Jade offered continuous comfort and information for me throughout my pregnancy. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and gave advice for things I hadn't even considered. Being someone who has always been terrified of childbirth, Jade eased my anxiety leaps and bounds. We prepared for it beforehand, but once I went into labor, Jade supported us over the phone and at my home before we went to the hospital. My birth went from something that I used to fear, to something I now look back on with fond memories (I think that's a wild transformation) and I truly credit a lot of that to Jade. She was an advocate for me at the hospital, she rarely left my side except when I needed alone time with my husband, and she encouraged me. She worked cooperatively with the rest of the birth team. Dare I say birth was actually a little fun? I whole heartedly recommend Jade as a doula and would love to have her at my future births. There really aren't enough words to describe how grateful I am for her.

With over 20 years of experience supporting families across six countries, I bring a deep understanding of the diverse ways cultures nurture parent-child relationships. My journey into birth work began as a Health Community Worker, advocating for immigrant Latino families in New York. Later, while working at a mental health agency in Connecticut, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that nurturing, consistent, and responsive caregiving has on a child’s development. This realization fueled my passion for family support and led me to become a Birth and Postpartum Doula, ensuring families receive guidance and care from the very start of their parenting journey. Three years ago, I earned my certification in Perinatal Mental Health, allowing me to further support families through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Fluent in both Spanish and English, I am dedicated to creating a compassionate and culturally informed space for every family I serve.

Martha brought a level of joy, reassurance and experience to our daughters birth we didn’t even know we needed. Every step of the way through my pregnancy she checked in on me and provided the guidance I needed. Our birth changed pretty rapidly but Martha’s positivity and expertise made the entire experience more enjoyable. We were able to really focus on the birth while she helped guide those around us on decisions we made beforehand. Pregnancy doesn’t just stop after birth, the emotional and physical work continues after you’re home as well. Martha is there by your side through it all! She helped change my postpartum experience immensely, I cannot thank her enough. I will forever recommend The Knitting Doula!

Could not have went through labor/delivery and early postpartum days without gab. As a FTM going through a journey i didn’t know anything about having gab by my side made me calmer, more informed and eased my anxiety. She walked me through birth plans, dealing with the contractions, helped me latch babygirl from the moment she was out. Between the post partum massage/belly binding, just teaching me how to wrap my baby, how to properly feed her, and coming over just to talk through my post partum feelings, I truly could not have done this without her!!

Hi New Parents & Returning Parents, My name is Anjanette Rebecca. I’m birth obsessed & I finally have the courage to admit it. I’m a little of a lot of things. I’m a full spectrum doula who supports families and individuals across all walks of life. From zygote to 130 years old. Reproductive health is who I am. Bodily autonomy is what I’ve supported since I was a child. I stepped into my mother’s shoes at an early age. My mother was the original reproductive health guru. My mom passed away before I had time to say goodbye. Grief became the catalyst that changed my life for the best. I meet Individuals and families that are kind enough to trust me with something so sacred. That will always be one of the biggest blessing in my life. I’ve cared for thousands of clients locally & internationally. My ultimate goal is YOU. Your family, your very valid fears, your tears & your happiness. I guide expectant families and individuals in embodying their role as the first teacher in their children’s life. Our body is our children’s first home, it will and always should be respected. Dads, that includes you. Your little one finds comfort in your presence before they’re even born. Your voice and kisses will be one of your child’s favorite things. My business & my baby, Birth & Beyond, NYC is an extension of my family; fellow educators like myself, with a combined 206 years of supporting vulnerable populations in New York City. In October 2026, I will celebrate 26 years in the healthcare industry, 18 years as a registered nurse. It’s an honor to be a part of birth, an intimate time for families to come together. I navigated my first pregnancy alone-there’s so much power in being a single parent too. I’m here to hold individuals & families through one of the most breathtaking and potentially chaotic moments of their lives. Parenthood is a massive upgrade and a heroic space to hold. Please don’t let the internet scare you. It scares me! But we have access to so much information. It is normal to feel overwhelmed by it. I pray that you enter pregnancy & your birth space with confidence. Tap me in if you need someone to kick the door off its hinges, metaphorically speaking of course :) As for me, I’m a Brooklyn native, currently enjoying life in Staten Island, NY. I spend most my time having juicy conversations, tending to 179 indoor plants, barefoot & not pregnant :) I spend time off social media, reading books and finding myself in nature. As a birth doula based in central NJ, my practice is influenced by my experience as a massage therapist for over 30 years. I have broad understanding of the physical challenges facing pregnant and postpartum individuals. I’m certified as Body Ready Method™ professional to address body alignment issues during pregnancy, which can result in a more optimal labor and birth. I also teach an in-person Body Ready Birth™ workshop for birthers and their partners to practice labor positions that can ease the baby’s journey through the pelvis. I prepare my clients with tools to calm their nervous system and release their fears using Hypnobirthing meditations and breathing techniques. As an integral part of the birth team, I provide educational resources, in-person prenatal/postpartum visits and compassionate care during active labor and birth.

I worked with Elyse when I was pregnant with my second child. I had a relatively uncomplicated labor/delivery with my first child but felt unprepared for the exhaustion brought on by labor. While my hope was to have an unmedicated labor and delivery, both my husband and I were so tired and overwhelmed that we opted for the epidural. For this second birth experience, I wanted a doula to help prepare my mind and body for labor and delivery so I could fulfill my desire of an unmedicated birth experience. From our first meeting, it was apparent Elyse is passionate about supporting women and their partners through pregnancy and childbirth. She made me and my husband feel comfortable and was always prepared with resources from evidence based sources to answer our questions. I felt confident in achieving my goals as the due date approached knowing we would have Elyse’s support for the birth. Ultimately, we had an unexpected home birth but Elyse met us at the hospital afterwards and offered her support in those first hours. She also visited me at home a few weeks after the birth and offered additional resources for breastfeeding and postpartum recovery. It was a pleasure working with her and it is clear she cares about her clients.

Hi, I’m Linda. I’m a caring and compassionate doula dedicated to supporting families through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and early infancy. I believe that this journey is not only physical, but deeply emotional and mental as well, and I’m here to walk alongside the parent/parents through it all. I have extensive experience supporting inductions, as well as guiding families through the early days of infancy. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where parents feel heard, informed, and empowered. I’m passionate about helping parents understand their options, build confidence, and feel truly prepared for both birth and the transition into life with a new baby. Whether navigating pregnancy, preparing for labor, or adjusting to infancy, I’m here to offer guidance, encouragement, and education every step of the way as I believe every single parent whether first baby or 7th baby a doula is beneficial and every parent birth or not deserves that guidance.

I truly can’t recommend Linda enough! I hired her around the beginning of my second trimester, and she was such a wonderful source of support throughout the rest of my pregnancy journey. From helping me feel more informed and prepared for birth to answering my questions and talking through my concerns, Linda was always patient, supportive, and reassuring. She helped me better understand my options when it came to labor and delivery, talked with me about comfort and coping techniques, and made sure I felt confident making decisions that were right for me. One of the things I appreciated most was knowing I had someone I could reach out to when I had questions or simply needed reassurance. Pregnancy can come with so many emotions and uncertainties, and having that extra support made such a difference for me. Linda genuinely cares about the moms and families she works with, and I’m so grateful that she was part of my pregnancy journey. If you’re considering having a doula for prenatal, birth, or postpartum support, I absolutely recommend reaching out to her. ❤️
