NoCo Doula Collective, is a team-based doula and perinatal support practice serving Fort Collins and communities throughout Northern Colorado. Founded by Julianne Curtis and Katie Piccolo, who combined their established doula practices to launch the collective in spring 2024. The collective provides support across the reproductive and parenting journey, including labor/birth doula care, postpartum support, lactation counseling, childbirth and new-parent education, and bereavement support. The team also includes professionals offering specialties such as NICU support, pediatric sleep consulting and birth/family photography. We are an evidenced based and trauma informed doula group who provides personalized and nonjudgmental care, with multiple doulas and specialists rather than a single-provider practice. I study Spinning babies, massage and rebozo techniques as well as breathing and hypnobirthing and bring these skills as tools to use in the process of labor. Growing up I lived in a small progressive hippy community where birth was very much seen as a part of life. The local midwife lived next door and her stories and approach to what she did raised me to see birth as a symptom of health and that birthing people should always have constant loving support during labor. I have wanted to work in birth for as long as I can remember and I believe wholeheartedly in the doula model of care. Now that my own 2 children are older I have jumped into the birth world with both feet and am passionately committed to my calling.

have been a doula since 2007 and have had the opportunity to attend a variety of births including medicated, non-medicated, multiples, VBAC’s and home-births. I use many tools to help a woman cope in labor including massage, pressure points, movement, aromatherapy and I am trained in using a TENS unit and have units that I let my clients use for their labor. Hello! I stumbled headfirst into the birth world through a non birth related podcast. After hearing the host’s birth story I was awestruck. I needed to know more. The more I learned, the more I felt called to this work. I firmly believe that everyone has the right to reproductive justice, to birth the way they want to, and to be able to define their birth experience their way. Choosing your birth team is one of the most important choices you can make during your pregnancy. I completed my formal birth doula training with Childbirth International in 2024 but have been practicing since early 2023. What sets me apart is my background as an engineer. This background when combined with my birth doula training gives me the unique ability to take in information (the cues you are giving, your words and actions, your progression, your outlook on the situation, and the care providers words and actions) and move forward with a plan for the next few moments, and then reassess and move forward once again.

Hello there! My name is Cloey and I am a birth & postpartum doula in training. I have 10 years of experience supporting families as an early childhood educator and nanny, including working with newborns and parents during the postpartum period. My greatest passion in life is supporting new families of all forms. My goal is to support you in the birth/postpartum journey you desire — I will be your cheerleader every step of the way. I am almost finished with my training and looking for clients who would like discounted doula services in exchange for being my first few clients. :) I will be providing discounted birth support for my first 3 clients, as well as 30 hours of postpartum support for at least 2 clients (8 visits minimum) at a donation rate. In 2017 I found my passion for birth-work while looking for a sustainable occupation that would allow me to use my empathy skills to support my community. As it turns out, Doulas do just that! I'm a certified postpartum doula through Childbirth International, and a trained Full-Spectrum Doula through Doula Training International.
