Hello! I'm a certified birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator in Woodstock GA. I am so passionate about physiological birth. An Incredibly Positive and Blessed Experience with Abbie! As a first time mom, I cannot speak highly enough about the support and care I received from Abbie. From our very first meeting, it was clear that she was not only knowledgeable and experienced but also deeply compassionate. She took the time to get to know our preferences, answer all of our questions, and make sure we felt comfortable and supported throughout my entire pregnancy journey. She was great with communication and provided us with resources throughout pregnancy for birth prep. When labor came, Abbie was calm, present, and prepared. She gave us reassurance and confidence in our birth plan/decisions throughout, while respecting the space and prioritizing baby's health. She was present throughout all of labor (A LONG TIME) and was able to help me try different positions, offer hands on support and holistic pain relief strategies, prayer, Bible verses, positive affirmations and encouraged me to eat & drink. Her presence made all the difference—I felt empowered and confident knowing she was there advocating for me and my baby. What truly stands out about Abbie is her ability to create a warm, non-judgmental space, no matter what the circumstances, and her shared faith which allowed me to open up and feel comfortable having her at my birth. She was prepared during the labor process and helped my husband and I feel confident. Thanks to her support and expertise, I felt so much more prepared for the challenges of labor and postpartum. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula, and I highly recommend her to anyone. I also want to share that I originally was skeptical of having a doula, but after many prayers I am so grateful we found Abbie and had her support during my unmedicated birth. God is good! Thank you, Abbie, for being such a vital part of our birth story and for helping us bring our baby girl into this world!

Earlier in my life, I was an ER charge nurse in AL. After moving to GA, I worked in several critical care aspects of the hospital system. After facing health issues as a family in 2014, I left the more "western" mindset of medicine and began teaching classes on nutrition, emotional health, and holistic medicine. After taking childbirth classes and having 4 natural births myself, I developed a passion for birth and desire to protect the sacred physical and emotional aspects of it. I am completing a doula certification with DONA this fall as well as teaching childbirth education classes in the Acworth, Kennesaw, Dallas areas. You can find more information on that on the www.bradleybirth.com site. I've got more about me and what I offer on my website www.myabundantbirth.com. If you have questions or want to connect, reach out! Blessings! Christie

My husband and I could not have imagined someone better to walk along side us through the birth process, especially for our first child. Christy is deeply knowledgable and an incredible leader. Me nor my husband had any issues getting questions or concerns answered with a vast amount of information, care, and prayer. Throughout my pregnancy, she gave me the knowledge and instilled the confidence to trust my body that it would do what it is created to do. If we have more children, Christy is certainly the person we will be calling! I had a precipitous birth, which Christy handled masterfully. We had a beautiful birth plan drawn up and everyone knew their roles. However, when push came to shove (no pun intended) Christy was able to quickly, professionally, and compassionately help us throw our plans to the side and was a wonderful advocate for me in the hospital when I was unable to advocate for myself. Though it was quick, because of Christy, I knew exactly what was happening through each stage of labor which kept me from being fearful. She was the thread of calm in the chaos of such a fast labor and made what could have been a rather traumatic experience a beautiful one.

I’m a Mother of 5 and have been a Birth and Postpartum Doula since 2005. I believe informed, supported families make confident decisions and that emotional safety matters just as much as physical care. My approach is calm, judgment-free, and deeply client-centered. I support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with hands-on education, advocacy, and compassionate emotional support. I’m especially mindful of how past experiences, expectations, and birth trauma can shape the way someone moves through pregnancy and birth, and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I don’t believe there’s one “right” way to give birth. My role is to meet you where you are, help you understand your options, and support you in making decisions that feel aligned with your values. Whether you’re planning a low-intervention birth, navigating medical care, or processing a previous experience, I’m here to walk alongside you. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me staying active in the gym, learning more about holistic health, or soaking up time with my own family.

We highly recommend Julie! From day one, she brought such positive energy into our home, and her support during the early days with our newborn was truly invaluable. She was attentive, respectful, and incredibly helpful, making our transition into this new chapter so much smoother. Thank you so much, Julie, for everything you did to help us settle in!

My goal is to create a space rooted in simplicity, generosity, and authenticity so you can feel cared for and focus on what matters most: your growing family.

Lauren is amazing! She helped me build my birth plan and was able to bring her own experience and knowledge to help me make educated decisions. I ended up having to be medically induced early, and she talked through my birth plan with me again and helped me make adjustments. Day of, it was SO helpful to have her in the room to talk through decisions because the midwife was giving recommendations to change my birth plan, and it was so helpful to have a third party person who was educated in L&D to be able to talk this through with and come to the best conclusion for me. In the midst of giving birth, she was so helpful, attending to our every need. Because we had met ahead of time and she really took the time to get to know my goals and desires, she was able to advocate for me. I had precipitous labor, so things escalated quickly. At one point, my midwife asked me a question about pain meds that needed an immediate response. I was mid-contraction and unable to speak, but Lauren jumped in with no hesitation and communicated exactly what I wanted to say! She was also able to help keep my husband calm and engaged during our baby’s birth, and even he said he was so thankful Lauren was there with us! I would definitely hire her again and recommend her to anyone interested in hiring a doula!

Jabria was an amazing doula. As first time parents we weren’t sure what to expect going into the experience at all. The tool’s & resource she offered made a huge impact when it came to preparing for labor. Her support during the labor was like a ‘sounding board’ for my boyfriend to check in with, when it came time to make decisions for me and our baby. I also appreciate how she was able to stay involved without making any of our family feel left out. Her continued support postpartum has been amazing. Jabria is family at this point, we’re so glad to have found her as our doula!

I cannot recommend Barb highly enough. From early in my pregnancy through the birth of our son, she was an incredible source of knowledge, encouragement, and support. The education she provided made a world of difference. She helped me understand what to expect, prepared us for the many decisions that come with labor, and gave my husband the knowledge and confidence to be an informed, supportive birth partner. She was always available to answer questions and helped us feel empowered instead of overwhelmed. I originally hired a doula because I was terrified of giving birth. As a first-time mom, my biggest goal was simply not to come away feeling traumatized. I never imagined that the birth of our child would become one of the most cherished memories of my life. Barb played such a huge role in making that possible. During labor, she was especially invaluable in helping us understand our options and make informed decisions about the timing of comfort measures and interventions. Rather than feeling like things were just happening to us, we felt involved, educated, and in control during an inherently unpredictable experience. Barb’s calm presence, expertise, and genuine care made all the difference. We feel incredibly grateful to have had her by our side throughout this journey, and I truly can’t imagine doing it without her. She will always be a special part of our son’s birth story, and we recommend her wholeheartedly to any family preparing to welcome a baby.

“No matter how you choose to birth, I believe in the power of informed choice and support for making informed decisions about your care. I also recognize that every family and birth is unique, and I take pride in my dedication to customized support when holding space for a positive and empowering birth experience.” I’m Chawnie—a dedicated wife, twin mom, and DONA‑trained birth and postpartum doula with a deep passion for empowering families. My journey began while earning a biology degree at the University of West Georgia, which sparked my love for informed care. Since then, I’ve continued my education with intentional birth coaching, prenatal & postpartum yoga, and Pilates certifications—plus extensive training in breastfeeding support. As a twin mom myself, I intimately understand the unique needs of families expecting multiples—and I combine that lived experience with a commitment to evidence-based support. I’ve supported births of all kinds—natural, medicated, hospital, home, VBAC, and c-section—with a proud emphasis on honoring whatever birth path you choose. My approach is rooted in education, advocacy, and unshakeable calm. I aim to equip partners with practical tools, guide birthers through decisions with clarity, and ensure every voice in the room is heard. It’s an honor to usher families through such a sacred transition, fostering confidence, ease, and support from pregnancy through postpartum—and beyond.

Chawnie was the best doula our family could’ve asked for. Prior to and during the birth, she always helped us be as informed as possible. She also never pressured us into a single way of doing things, but acted as a guide for us to make the best decisions for me and my baby. Since my child was born, she’s remained a loving person I consider a part of our extended family and I would recommend her to anyone pregnant looking for a doula.
