I am a mother of four, a registered social worker and a full-spectrum Doula with a special place in my heart for legacy work and preparing folks, and their loved ones, for the end of life transition. I am committed to choice, informed consent, education/information, equitable access to services and client-centred care. At the heart of my work is the belief that life and death are sacred and that love holds space through all of life’s transitions.

As a mother of three, I understand firsthand the beauty and challenges that come with the postpartum journey. My work as a postpartum and birth doula is rooted in deep empathy and genuine care, qualities that have only been strengthened through my experience raising a special needs child. I bring calm, nonjudgmental support to families as they adjust to life with a newborn, offering both practical help and emotional reassurance. Over the past several years, I have supported families through both hospital and home births, navigating many different birth experiences and outcomes. I remain a steady advocate throughout, ensuring that families feel heard, respected, and empowered in every decision. My experience also includes childbirth education, lactation education, and newborn sleep support, helping parents feel prepared, confident, and informed from pregnancy through postpartum. My goal is always to nurture both baby and parents, creating a peaceful, supported environment where healing and bonding can truly thrive.

My name is Lauren Mackenzie and I am a Full-Spectrum Doula and Birth-Worker, certified through Fanshawe College. I offer emotional, informational, and physical support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I provide client centred, unbiased & non-judgmental, trauma-informed support.
