Hello, my name is Laaziza Ouabi. I am a trained midwife from Morocco with over five years of experience supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which helps me understand and support the emotional and mental health needs of new mothers and families. Since moving to Ottawa, I have worked as a Personal Support Worker, gaining hands-on experience in providing personal care, emotional support, and daily assistance. Alongside my clinical work, I create educational content on social media where I share pregnancy and postpartum tips with a growing community of mothers, which has strengthened my ability to connect with families and offer guidance in a supportive, accessible way. I am truly passionate about helping families during the delicate postpartum period—whether it’s supporting breastfeeding, establishing healthy sleep routines, or simply providing reassurance and a calm presence during night care. I am a certified Birth Doula and Breastfeeding Councelor practicing in the Ottawa, Cornwall and Brockville regions of Ontario. I am a mother of 7 and grandmother to one. I support mothers and their partners to have confident, well-informed births by teaching the most current evidence-based methods for comfort and pain relief. My job is to ensure the mother's well-being and strengthen her feelings of empowerment in her birth experience. I specialize in reassuring highly anxious mothers that they are safe and supported. I also assist in establishing Breastfeeding right after birth and in the early days of newborn care.
