We’re doing a hospital birth, but haven’t decided on medication. Our est. budget is around 2000. We’re hoping for someone experienced and patient with first time parents that also has knowledge or access to a network that can consult on lactation, night nanny services, etc. Insurance is BlueCross BlueShield Anthem.

This is my third pregnancy, but my first successful one. We conceived through IVF, and this baby is very much wanted and loved. At 35 years old, and due to my medical history and two miscarriages, my pregnancy has been considered high-risk from the beginning. While I am very excited, I am also understandably nervous and looking for as much support as possible throughout this journey. I have Kaiser. I’m looking at giving birth at Rose Hospital. My budget is based off what my insurance covers. I have heard Kaiser will cover doulas. My birth plan is kinda fluid right now. I’m hoping to have a VBAC. I would like it to be unmedicated and if I can to labor in a tub. I want skin to skin immediately, delayed cord clamping and to not be forced unless my body is fully ready. I refuse to do things on a physicians timeline. I’d prefer the doula to be certified, have an NPI and to have as much experience as I can hope for. This is my 2nd baby so I’d need help making sure this goes as smooth as possible. I would love help around the house post partum but I’m not sure what insurance covers.

I am a single IVF momma by choice and looking for a doula to help fill that partner & advocate role for when the big day comes plus some general birth prep. Doula Services Request Birth Location & Plan I am planning a hospital birth at a civilian facility (non-MTF). My birth plan prioritizes a low-intervention approach with a focus on movement, breathwork, and physical comfort measures, though I am open to medical support if necessary. I am looking for a doula who can provide continuous in-person labor support and advocacy within a hospital setting. Provider Requirements (TRICARE Compliance) To qualify for coverage under the TRICARE CBSD, the provider must meet the following criteria: Certification: Must hold a current certification as a Certified Labor Doula (CLD) from one of the approved bodies (e.g., DONA International, CAPPA, BirthWorks, ICEA, toLabor, or the National Black Doula Association). Experience: Must have attended at least 3 births as the primary doula (including at least 2 vaginal births) and have provided antepartum/postpartum support for at least one birth. Documentation: Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and be willing to sign a TRICARE Participation Agreement to accept TRICARE’s maximum allowable charge as payment in full. Safety: Must maintain current adult, child, and infant CPR certification. Care Recipients & Additional Duties The care is for myself (adult) and my newborn. Requirements include: Primary Focus: Antepartum visits, continuous labor support, and postpartum follow-up. Feeding Support: Assistance with initial breastfeeding/latching during the immediate postpartum period. Note on Duties: Per TRICARE guidelines, I am seeking "Certified Labor Doula" services. I understand that purely elective services like heavy cleaning, intensive cooking, or dedicated sleep training are not covered under the demonstration benefit. Insurance & Budget Insurance Provider: TRICARE (Region: West/TriWest). Plan Details: I am currently enrolled in TRICARE Prime. I will obtain the necessary referral from my PCM/OB for doula services to ensure $0 out-of-pocket costs for covered visits. Budget: My budget is aligned with the TRICARE allowable rates. For services outside the scope of the CBSD (such as photography or placenta encapsulation), I am prepared to discuss private-pay options if a separate waiver is provided.
