This is our 2nd baby and we didn't have the best experience in the hospital during our first birth in 2019. Now that I'm pregnant at 40, we're looking for more of a natural experience, with less of the trauma. We have found a doula through this site and are now looking for a midwife to assist with home birthing. We're completely new to this idea, but are very open to it. My medical insurance is through Medi-Cal, specifically Anthem Blue Cross. I've noticed that providers within your company accept it, I'm just not sure to what extent considering this is my first time looking into this option.

This is my first baby and I am 42 years old. I want to go as natural as possible, no drugs, etc. I don't know if I am going to end up with complications or not. I'm looking for someone who will get to know me, my needs and help me achieve that. I don't want to give birth in a hospital but if there are complications I understand I may need to. I am still researching home births and water births.

This my first baby. I would like to birth at home and in case of emergency help with a transfer to the local hospital and be present for the birth. I have a full birth plan that intend on discussing with my midwife but that's the basics of it. Preferably I'd love a midwife that's holistic and medically trained. I would love if they took insurance but if not my budget is $3,500. If a payment plan is available I would love that. I am currently 10 weeks along with no complications so far.

I am having my first baby and I’m hoping to do an unmedicated water birth with little intervention as possible. I’m hoping to get support for myself during this pregnancy and for my birth where I feel my OB isn’t fully able to assist. I currently plan on birthing at Mercy Folsom Hospital in Folsom CA in their birthing center. I’m not sure on budget as I am unsure what the range or scope looks like or where to even begin. I am really excited for this time and truly feel a midwife will add so much to this experience.

I have Medi-Cal coverage, and I am reaching out because I am looking for prenatal and birth support that is culturally respectful, trauma-informed, and centered around human connection and traditional care. I am originally from Guatemala, and it is very important to me to find a midwife, doula, or care provider who understands or respects Indigenous and culturally rooted approaches to pregnancy and birth. If possible, I would especially appreciate support from an Indigenous, Native, Black, Latina, or BIPOC provider, or someone with experience working with Indigenous Latin American women and migrant communities. I also want to share that I have experienced two previous pregnancy losses: one in 2021 at approximately 5 months of pregnancy, and another in 2025 at approximately 3 months. Because of these experiences, I am hoping to find care that feels emotionally supportive, respectful, and safe throughout this pregnancy. I would like to ask: Do you accept Medi-Cal? Do you offer midwifery or doula services? Do you have Spanish-speaking providers? Do you have providers with experience supporting Indigenous or culturally diverse families?
