I have Medi-Cal coverage, and I am reaching out because I am looking for prenatal and birth support that is culturally respectful, trauma-informed, and centered around human connection and traditional care. I am originally from Guatemala, and it is very important to me to find a midwife, doula, or care provider who understands or respects Indigenous and culturally rooted approaches to pregnancy and birth. If possible, I would especially appreciate support from an Indigenous, Native, Black, Latina, or BIPOC provider, or someone with experience working with Indigenous Latin American women and migrant communities. I also want to share that I have experienced two previous pregnancy losses: one in 2021 at approximately 5 months of pregnancy, and another in 2025 at approximately 3 months. Because of these experiences, I am hoping to find care that feels emotionally supportive, respectful, and safe throughout this pregnancy. I would like to ask: Do you accept Medi-Cal? Do you offer midwifery or doula services? Do you have Spanish-speaking providers? Do you have providers with experience supporting Indigenous or culturally diverse families? I am looking to establish a care team to assist me with a homebirth. I am due in June 2027, and I am hoping to locate someone in the el dorado hills, Folsom area that takes blue cross PPO insurance. I am also looking for someone who could possibly bring the birthing set up with them for the home birth if that's possible. I just found out a couple weeks ago that I was pregnant so I am early to the game but just trying to understand how this might look doing a homebirth. I guesss budget wise.. I would like to keep the cost under 2k if I can utilize insurance as well.

Looking for midwife services for a homebirth. This is my third baby. First one was in a hospital with an epidural. Second baby was at a birthing center all natural in a bathtub. For the third baby, I’m looking to birth at home. We prefer someone that can take insurance. We have anthem Blue Cross PPO. However, we would be open to paying out-of-pocket.

Looking for a VBAC homebirth this time around. I have about a $8000 budget and are hoping for payment plans arrangements. I dont have specifics for the type of home birth (i.e. water or just free standing) but am interested in knowing your iptions and getting to know you!
