About me

I am a certified Labor Doula, Postpartum and Infant Care Doula, and Lactation Specialist with over twenty combined years of professional and personal experience. I took the leap in 2020 during COVID to become certified and continue to educate myself regularly. My passion is supporting new families as they navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum journey. As a mother of six and a proud Nana, my personal experiences have helped shape my deep commitment to empowering women during these most memorable, and sometimes vulnerable, moments of their lives. Even as a young mother, I was determined to understand every aspect of motherhood — learning extensively about what pregnancy entails, how childbirth transforms us, and for that brief moment why nature reminds us to pause. My dedication deepened in light of the alarming maternal mortality rates among women of color, which led me to become a Labor Doula. I quickly recognized the critical need for support after the baby came home and became a Postpartum Doula with a special focus on overnight care. I took action on my passion. I am honored to help families navigate the beginning of their new journey.
