The cost of a night nanny in El Cajon, CA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in El Cajon, CA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Brie Walsh

$55/hr

As a postpartum doula, I’m committed to offering gentle, reliable support that helps your family feel grounded, confident, and truly cared for after birth. I believe it truly does take a village! Through my own journey with a spirited toddler, I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative (and challenging) the shift into parenthood can be. For the past two years I have worked as a full-spectrum doula, now devoting most of my practice to supporting families in the postpartum period, and have had the privilege of serving more than fifty postpartum families. My calling to this work is deeply personal. Having lost my own mother during adolescence, I grew into my maternal nature early. That experience shaped my understanding of how essential nurturing, presence, and steady support truly are, especially during the vulnerable days and weeks after birth. I bring that perspective into every home I serve. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and practical. I aim to create a calm, affirming space where parents can rest, heal, learn, and feel genuinely cared for. At the heart of my work is a simple mission: to make a meaningful difference for families during one of the most tender and powerful transitions of their lives.

Brie worked with us as our post-partum doula and I could not have been more thankful to have found her! She did nights with us, at first 3 nights/week for 6 weeks and then we hired her for an additional 2 nights/week for 10 weeks because she was just that wonderful! She was so calm and caring. On the nights she worked with us, she would let herself in to our house, take our daughter and send us to bed and my husband and I both slept soundly knowing that our baby was in good hands which allowed us to feel better and be so much more present during the day. When our daughter needed to feed, Brie would bring her to me or bring me my pumps and then when I was done, I would text Brie and she would come in and take back over and I got to go back to sleep. Brie helped with tasks during the night such as doing laundry and even made me breakfast in the mornings before she left to ensure I would eat. I have recommended Brie to all of my friends and many of gone on to work with her and also had positive things to say. I cannot recommend her enough and if we were lucky enough to have another child in the future would 1000% want to work with her again!

If you need sleep, just call them. They’re honestly the best!! Super friendly staff and they’ve been so accommodating whenever things came up. It’s hard to find someone to really trust to take care of my baby, but they are so reliable and professional. It made such a difference for my family. Highly recommend!

Tiana Wheatley

Packages from $350 · $30/hr

Hello Families! My name is Tiana. I am a postpartum doula providing overnight infant care and newborn care specialist with over 7+ years of child care experience. I’m so thankful to do the work that I do because it’s such an innate ability to care for others. Being of service to women and children is my greatest passion. I love to be the calm in the storm, weather it be getting through the day with the littles or tackling the big feelings our body demands after going through the biggest transition of a woman’s life, I am here to help. Outside of this work I enjoy meditation, reading, being in nature and spending time with my family whom I cherish so much. Best of luck on finding your perfect doula. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

We hired Tiana as a postpartum doula for 6 weeks. As naturally anxious first-time parents, Tiana immediately brought warmth, professionalism and expertise from our first conversation. On her first day, she came an hour early so that we could get to know each other better, feel more at ease with handing over the reins, and show her around the house so that she could find everything on her own. We’ve had an easy rhythm when she comes over and my husband and I are able to fully sleep through the night. On a foundational level, Tiana is easy to work with and reliable - she communicates quickly and clearly, shows up on time, and scheduling changes have always been easy to sort out. What I appreciate most about working with Tiana is the warmth and care she shows our little one and that she’s proactive and observant. She’s proactive in noticing what needs to be done as it relates to our son, including laundry, cleaning, replacing the diaper genie, and refilling our changing stations. She’s also proactive with sharing best practices or research she’s found when it comes to things she notices about our son or challenges I’ve expressed to her. She’s observant in noticing how we like things done in our house and following those cues as well as recommending ways to improve upon them or ease the burden on us. We definitely felt supported in one of the most stressful and vulnerable stages as parents, and would happily welcome her into our home again.

Hi! My name is Julianna, and I am a birth + postpartum doula and reproductive health educator based in San Diego, California. I am deeply passionate about supporting people through their fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and transition into parenthood with care that is informed, grounded, and non-judgmental. My approach blends evidence-based education with intuitive, hands-on support, honoring both the physiological process of birth and the emotional experience that comes with it. I believe that when parents feel informed, respected, and supported in their choices, birth and postpartum can feel more empowering and less overwhelming. I strive to create a calm, affirming space where clients feel safe to ask questions, explore options, and trust their bodies. In addition to doula care, my background in fertility awareness and reproductive health education shapes how I support clients holistically—from conception and pregnancy through postpartum recovery. In my free time, I love being outdoors, moving my body, and grounding myself in simple routines that nourish both body and mind.

From the very beginning, she was knowledgeable, kind, and deeply reassuring. Giving birth during COVID came with so much uncertainty, but her calm presence and steady guidance helped us navigate every step with confidence. When we had to pivot from our original birth plan, she kept us grounded and supported, ensuring we still felt empowered in the process. What truly sets her apart is that her care didn’t end at delivery. She has continued to check in with our family over the years, which speaks volumes about the level of care she provides. My husband and I highly recommend her to any family looking for a doula who is both skilled and genuinely invested in the families she serves.

Kristy Inoa

Hi, I’m a certified Birth & Postpartum Doula based in San Diego, California, primarily supporting families throughout North County. As a mother of four girls myself, I understand firsthand how meaningful, and sometimes overwhelming the transition into parenthood can be. I’m passionate about providing compassionate and reliable support to families during the postpartum period. I have experience caring for both singleton and multiple babies, as well as infants with specialized medical needs, including G-tube feeding. I’m certified in Adult and Infant First Aid and CPR, and I’m a non-smoker. My goal is to help families feel confident, supported, and cared for as they adjust to life with their new baby.

Recent review

Kristy has been such a gift to our family since 2022. She has walked alongside us through so many seasons, from those tender first days of bringing home a brand new baby to toddlerhood and everything in between. She has a beautiful way of stepping in and noticing the needs you don’t even realize you have. She has helped me feel less alone, offered an extra set of hands when I needed them most, and has always cared for our family with so much thoughtfulness and heart. She is truly the person I know I can call when I need someone I trust with childcare. I’ve also had the privilege of seeing the care she has given to other families, and the gratitude they have for her speaks volumes. Kristy doesn’t simply help care for children, she cares for the whole family during seasons when an extra set of loving hands can mean everything. We are incredibly grateful for Kristy and the care, consistency, and kindness she has brought into our lives. Any family would be so fortunate to have her. 🤍

I am here to help you have the birth experience you want. Whether it is an unmedicated birth, or you get an epidural, you are at home or at a hospital. I am here to support you. I am not here to judge anyone’s decisions or beliefs. My job is to support you in your choices. It is your birth experience let’s do it your way. When it comes to my clients I like to have a gentle touch, and a grounding presence. I also find adding in a dash of humor here and there helps lighten the mood. I am a strong ally of the LBGTQIA+ community, and would be more than happy to take on and support any clients who are part of that community. My doula experience began at UCSD through the Hearts and Hands program, and I still volunteer there today. I have taken childbirth education classes, breastfeeding classes, Newborn Care classes, and I am Infant CPR and First Aid certified.

As a first-time mom who planned for an unmedicated vaginal delivery, it was important for me to have a doula. We chose Arri to support us and deliver our baby girl in early September. It was such a pleasure to work with her and have her be by our side in the last trimester; it made me feel so confident that we can tackle anything that comes our way. Arri was such a calm spirit, very knowledgeable about all the techniques that my husband and I can use throughout the last month of pregnancy. We learned a lot through the initial meetings, and she validated that we were learning the right things in our research and classes. Her hands-on approach to showing us laboring positions and also all the tips and tricks to having the house ready for our newborn was so useful! Having Arri on call and responsive via text during my last few weeks was important to have a knowledgeable voice, guiding me and my husband through every step of the way. She coached and guided me through my labor contractions and help us move through early laboring at home, to sending ourselves to Sharp March Birch. Having Arri there for the delivery was exactly what I hoped for, a grounding person who wasn’t one of the multiple nurses and doctors who were buzzing in and out of the room. She knew my birth preferences, and supported my husband and I throughout the entire experience and was there with us from start to finish all the way through the recovery room. Definitely chat with Arri to be your doula, she was great!
