About me

Hi everyone! I'm Liz. I'm a certified birth doula and trained postpartum doula through DONA International and founder of Empowering Birth Doula Services. I believe every expectant parent deserves a doula and to be informed so they can give birth on their terms. They deserve respect, compassion and someone to help them advocate for themselves and their choices during the most vulnerable but also the most powerful moment of their lives. They deserve to feel EMPOWERED in childbirth instead of fearful. I offer flexible payment plans, accept Tricare Standard East and Carrot Fertility and am also partnered with Be Her Village so you can add my services to your baby shower registry!

Elizabeth was an amazing postpartum doula, and I truly can’t recommend her enough. She was always prompt, dependable, flexible, and willing to jump in wherever we needed her. As new parents navigating life with two under two, having her support made such a difference. She shared so many helpful newborn tips, answered our questions, and helped us feel more confident during those early weeks. She was also such a calming presence and a huge relief for our family during the postpartum period. She even prepared several delicious, nourishing meals for us, which was such a thoughtful gift while recovering and adjusting to life with a newborn. We’re so grateful for everything Elizabeth did for our family. If you’re looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and reliable postpartum doula, I would absolutely recommend her.

Liz was a wonderful postpartum doula! We were able to hire her through Carrots and she did a phenomenal job identifying ways to help around the house and with the new baby. She was easy to schedule with and flexible to meet different needs every week. We would highly recommend her!

Highly recommended! Liz made sure we felt prepared for all parts of labor, delivery, and early postpartum days. She is lovely to work with and very thorough in talking through expectations and delivery goals. Once labor arrived, it was a relief to have Liz present to help navigate having a natural birth in the hospital. We enjoyed our time with her and felt the birth experience was improved with her support!

Liz was my postpartum doula and was an absolute gift during such a tender time. Her calm, compassionate presence made us feel truly supported and cared for. She was especially wonderful with breastfeeding, sharing thoughtful information and articles that helped me feel informed, confident, and reassured rather than overwhelmed. Her guidance and encouragement made a huge difference in our postpartum experience, and we are so grateful for her support. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for knowledgeable and nurturing care.

Liz is a great Doula! With her support I was able to have the unmedicated natural birth I wanted. She was always available to answer my questions and she has a soothing bedside manner. Liz was also very helpful during her postpartum visits. I highly recommend her services. Thank you Liz!

I chose to work with Elizabeth primarily because I connected with her warm and caring yet down-to-Earth personality. Beyond that, I found her to be incredibly knowledgeable about various topics and a curator of many great resources. I had been particularly concerned about managing my anxiety levels on the day of delivery. She had a calming presence and a toolbox full of strategies such as affirmations to help me manage it. She gracefully put up with my numerous texts with various questions / alerts of false labor contractions. Furthermore, she is flexible in the number of hours she is available during labor and delivery. I will be enthusiastically recommending her to my next friend who becomes pregnant. :)

Elizabeth was my doula for my first baby. I was apprehensive about giving birth and especially, managing the pain. Elizabeth was very knowledgeable and caring, and helped come up with a game plan to ensure as smooth a birth as possible. She helped come up with a birth plan, showed my husband how he can best support me through the birth and taught me how to advocate for myself at the hospital. She was with me at the hospital and stayed until after the baby was born to help my husband and mother in law support me She also came over frequently after the birth to see how myself and baby were doing and even helped me breastfeed. She was very responsive over the phone and text if I had any questions or concerns leading up to and after the birth. She was very fairly priced and absolutely worth every penny.
