Hello I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant looking for a doula near me, accepting insurance (Medicaid).

I would like prenatal and postnatal care. I would like to breastfeed and have a natural birth without medication.

I’m not sure of these questions yet. I am still searching for a hospital. First time mom so Im not sure of budgets.

I am looking for a doula to have guidance on having a mother vaginal birth following a cesarean birth from my last pregnancy. I want to avoid that happening again and especially avoid that healing process I had to go through with my little boy.

I plan to give birth in a hospital but i really want to be unmedicated as the last time i had a epidural it traumatized me and hurt so bad.

I am 26 years old and this is my first child so I would like someone to just give me advice and basically be there for me through this journey. I would like to give birth at a birthing center close to a hospital if I need to go to it, but I am not opposed to going to the hospital I just don't want to have the baby on my back. My budget is under $2,000 preferably. I also would like to try and breast feed to know what drinks or food I can intake now to help with that. I am also a picky eater so helping me come up with a balanced diet would also be a great help as well. I just would like to prep on what I should be doing each month and things I need to order so that I can already have it before the baby comes.

I plan to give birth at Howard County General Hospital that is connected with Johns Hopkins. My OB is through Capital Women's Care in Fulton/Maple Lawn, and the OBs rotate there. I had a c-section December 2022, and I believe I was pressured into this when it was unnecessary based on speaking with doctors, friends, and family since. I want a VBAC. I do not have a large budget. I'm trying to figure out how my doulas cost. My family is willing to help a little thankfully. I'm guestimating my budget is $2k. I want someone that will advocate for me, encourage me, and help me to have a VBAC, as last time I was continually pressured to have, and my husband could not advocate for me to keep going and trying. I felt guilty about his anxieties for me, which led me to take an unnecessary and harder process of the c-section, and ended up being much scarier for both of us.

It is my first child and we would like to do a hospital birth that have the assistance and guidance/support from a doula. Hoping to have a doula to advocate for me to give me the highest chances of having a natural birth without c section.

Seeking a doula to help prepare better for my third baby due in February. I’ve had two vaginal hospital deliveries but was induced with my first and I ended up with an epidural with my second because I wasn’t prepared for a long labor and ended up with bad baby positioning and pelvic girdle pain.

Hello, I am currently 20 weeks pregnant with my second child and am reaching out to see if you have availability for a high-risk client in the Fredericksburg or surrounding areas. My situation is urgent. I had a preventative cerclage placed at 16 weeks (following an emergency cerclage at 20 weeks with my first child). At my appointment, my doctors discovered my cervix has opened halfway. I am now on strict medical bedrest at home and taking vaginal progesterone. My medical team has explicitly stated there is a 50/50 chance I may deliver early, and I am preparing for a potential preterm birth. Because of this, the care I need from a doula is very specific: Virtual or In-Bed Prenatal Support: Emotional guidance, help processing birth preferences for a high-risk or potentially premature delivery, and coping strategies while I navigate strict bedrest. On-Call Flexibility: Continuous labor and delivery support if I am rushed to the hospital early, or if we make it to full term. I plan to give birth at Inova Fairfax Women's Center. I live in Fredericksburg VA. I am looking for a Christian/ Christ centered doula who is well versed in high risk black maternal health and can advocate well for me. I want hands off care as much as possible. Not many cervical checks. NO episiotomy or forceps. Labor the way a position feels comfortable to me. Also, a plus is someone with a trauma based care mentality as I have gone through sexual assault and I need emphasis on consent. I need someone who is going to help when fear tries to come up. Someone not afraid to pray and set the atmosphere well. My biggest fear is becoming a statistic and something happening to me during or after birth because no one listened to me and how I feel about my body. MUST ACCEPT CareFirst (Private BCBS). I would only like services that will be covered.
