I am a Certified VBAC Doula, trained to serve as a birth and postpartum doula, and offer bereavement doula services for those experiencing pregnancy or infant loss. A successful VBA2C using Hypnobabies in 2011 ignited my enduring passion for supporting and achieving optimal birthing experiences and sharing information about pregnancy and birth to advocate for better perinatal and newborn health outcomes. I’m the owner of Atala Doula Services, serving the Sacramento region and surrounding counties of northern California. Having spent most of my adult working life as a technical writer, which involves gathering information from subject matter experts and creating written resources that even non-technical people can easily understand and follow, I realized the work was not as rewarding or fulfilling as I wish it would be. So, I embarked on some introspection to evaluate my personality, my strengths, what I enjoyed about my prior work, and what I most want to do in the future…be a source of support and empowerment for others.

Hire Gina if you're looking for a positive birth experience! I was the first of my friends to have a Doula and wasn't quite sure what to expect. It ended up being one of the best decisions involving my pregnancy/delivery because she was so supportive and valuable every step of the way. Gina helped me prepare for giving birth by meeting with me and discussing my fears about labor, how to best support me, strategies for a smooth labor, etc. She was on-call for me and met my family and I at the hospital immediately when we called her (at midnight) when I went into labor. Gina was so professional with the hospital staff and my family. She provided strategies and aid to keep me comfortable throughout labor and helped me understand what was happening and what to expect next. Yes there were nurses to help, but they had other patients requiring their care and Gina was a constant, knowledgeable, and calm presence. Gina was also extremely helpful during the delivery and did not leave my side afterward until she knew that I was stable and moving to the postpartum room to rest. She's been so supportive during these postpartum weeks and I'm so grateful to her! While Gina's support was a service that I paid for, she has genuinely felt like family throughout this experience. She went so above and beyond for me and my baby and made our experience a special one.

I’m Nubia, a mom of five (teens & young adults). I have 25years of experience in the birth, postpartum & newborn care field. This is my passion work. I have a tremendous amount of gratitude being able to do this heart-centered work professionally & full-time. I support mothers & families as a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, parent educator, certified breastfeeding counselor (CLC), an integrative nutrition health coach (IIN) and a student midwife. My journey started in the year 2000 in my hometown of Washington, DC. In 2015. Since then, I’ve supported a diverse clientele in New York City and now Cali. My philosophy: Mothers deserve to be respected, heard and nurtured doing this major transition in life to becoming a mom, whether it’s for the first time or the 8th time! I truly believe It takes a village to raise a family which is what led me to my purpose, heart-centered work of supporting mothers & families. I’m a strong advocate for mothers and families birthing in all settings including hospital, home & birth centers. I respect the many choices in mothering and parenting. It's an honor to walk the path of mothering with women as they navigate the many options we have today. I strongly believe in the woman's ability to grow, birth and nourish her baby with her natural, innate abilities while also respecting the need or preference of medical support along the way. It's all about the balance of holistic & medical. My support also includes follow up postpartum healing practices for mom, lactation and pumping support, newborn care and parent coaching. On my spare time I enjoy indulging in health & wellness therapies, spending time in nature, traveling, cooking, dancing, and enjoying quality time with my family. Let’s meet!🌷🤲🏽 www.doulavivabirths.com IG: @doulaviva_births 240-273-5088 Cell

https://www.doulatalia.com/ Hello and Welcome! My name is Doula Talia, providing birth and postpartum services throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. I transitioned away from a delightful 20+ year profession in healthcare management and chose to train as a doula, a career where I can nurture my path of service to others. I believe how we give and show up in the world is how we receive. My natural desire to build community and connect with others brings me here today. Part of my role as a doula is empowering families by listening to their birth goals and holding space for them to make informed decisions. My goal is that the birthing person and team feel confident and grounded. Everyone has an inner self-power that can ignite in all situations! I am the friend one calls when they need a calm, centering voice of reassurance. My greatest joy is that I am a mother to my favorite human beings. My experience of motherhood and being an aunt of 10 adds another essential layer of depth to my work as a birth and postpartum care doula. Please contact me directly at “doulatalia.sf@gmail.com” Looking forward to connecting with you soon!

I worked with Talia through out my pregnancy, birth and postpartum period, and I am so grateful for her support. She truly works from the hear, which is something you don't come across often. Talia consistently went above and beyond her role, always making sure I felt comfortable, informed and supported. Her presence during such an important time felt more like having a sister by my side than just a professional. I would absolutely recommend Talia to anyone looking for a caring, dedicated and compassionate doula.
