The cost of a night nanny in Garden City, NY can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Garden City, NY, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

As soon as you meet Carla it will be incredibly obvious why you will only want her to be the one taking care of your newborn child. It is evident that her natural instincts and overall persona is exactly what every mom wishes for when they are going to select someone to help them with their newborn baby. Not only is Carla warm and patient, but she is knowledgeable and experienced, without being bossy. She almost floats around your home and brings you into a bubble of peace from the second she walks in. I have never had such peace of mind as when Carla helped us. Because of this I have referred Carla to every single friend when they share they are pregnant. Only a lucky few have reached out early enough to secure her. She is exceptional. If I could have nobody else help with my family ever it would be her. You will see when you meet her. Her passion is babies. She will know exactly what you and your family need from her and she senses it. Her talents are unmatched. She is truly exceptional. I would only have another baby if I could have Carla. I could never settle for anyone else. From the second she walks in the door Carla is somehow equally caring and professional and does not miss a beat.

Hi, I’m Ryann, a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and proud mom of four. I live on Long Island, where I’m raising my family and serving growing families in the community I love. My journey into motherhood has deeply shaped who I am and how I show up as a doula. I’ve experienced firsthand the joy, intensity, vulnerability, and transformation that birth and postpartum bring; and I carry that lived wisdom into every space I enter. Before stepping into this work full-time, I spent 13 years in corporate healthcare and hold a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. That experience gives me a strong foundation in organization, communication, and advocacy - skills I now bring into supporting families with clarity, confidence, and care. I’ve always had a passion for supporting women - for advocating when they don’t feel heard, for empowering them when they’re unsure, and for holding space when things feel overwhelming or unpredictable. My mission is to remind every mother that they are worthy of care, choice, and support — no matter how their journey unfolds. Whether you’re planning a home birth surrounded by loved ones, delivering in a hospital, choosing a cesarean, or navigating an unmedicated or medicated birth - I meet you where you are. There is no “right” way to bring a baby into the world, and I tailor my care to support your unique story, values, and vision. Through Four Roots Doula, I offer evidence-based education, emotional support, advocacy, and hands-on care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My role is to be a steady, calm presence - someone you can trust to show up fully, without judgment, with compassion and clarity. I am also CPR certified, adding an extra layer of preparedness and safety to the care I provide. Birth is beautiful. So is the strength that rises in you when you’re supported. I’d be honored to be part of your story.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Luciana care for our son during his first year of life. From the very beginning, she was loving, attentive, and genuinely responsive to his individual needs. We always felt confident knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. She kept us updated throughout the day, which gave us wonderful peace of mind and allowed us to feel connected to his day even while we were apart. She also made a real effort to engage him in age-appropriate play and activities, supporting his social, emotional, and cognitive development in such a thoughtful and natural way. The first few weeks of bringing a newborn home are such a beautiful but incredibly vulnerable time, and having LeeAnn by our side was truly a gift. From day one she brought a sense of calm, warmth, and reassurance that made such a difference as we navigated those early days of parenthood. LeeAnn has such a lovely, easygoing personality and a gentle, nurturing presence. She is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced with newborns, but what makes her especially wonderful is the way she shares that knowledge…with kindness, patience, and without ever making you feel overwhelmed or judged. It can be scary trusting someone else with your baby, but with LeeAnn we always felt completely at ease knowing our baby was in her care. During a time when you're learning to trust your instincts and adjust to an entirely new chapter of life, having someone you genuinely trust means everything. As well as someone who is very reliable! I’m Seana, founder of Happy Mother Doula, a mother of three, certified postpartum doula, and certified perinatal mental health professional. My work is dedicated to improving the postpartum experience so mothers feel supported, families feel more confident, and welcoming a baby comes with the care every parent deserves. My own experience with postpartum anxiety and depression shaped my commitment to this work. I provide compassionate, practical support through newborn care, feeding guidance, opportunities for rest, and emotional support—with the mother’s well-being at the center. I believe that caring for mothers strengthens the entire family. My goal is to help make postpartum a healthier, happier, and more supported experience, without the expectation of perfection.

Recent review

I absolutely LOVED working with Seana and having her support after I had my son. She helped me in so many ways, whether it be emotionally, psychically around the house, and just being there for me in tough moments and transitions. As a new mom, she taught me things I wasn't comfortable with yet, like setting up my pumps and showing me how to use them and also bathing my newborn. We had so many great laughs and she really brightened my postpardum experience. I know with each month as he gets older, new challenges arise, and I can see us needing her again down the road! It's never too early or too late to have her support!

Michelle was an excellent caregiver to our newborn daughter. Our baby smiled every night when Michelle walked through the door. While we are sad that our time with Michelle is over, she left us in the best place possible - with a baby sleeping 11-12 hrs by 8 weeks.

Katia has been my postpartum doula and caregiver for my baby boy since February 2025. She consistently takes initiative in ways that truly lighten my load as a new mom. One moment that stands out was when she noticed I was juggling baby care and chores—without me even asking, she washed the baby's clothes and bedsheets, took out the trash, and even helped cut vegetables for dinner. She always notices what needs to be done and jumps in with such care and thoughtfulness—it’s clear she’s not just doing a job, but genuinely wants to support and nurture. This was my first baby, and I had never used a doula service before, so I was initially skeptical and a bit anxious about having someone new in our home during such a vulnerable and emotional time. But from the very beginning, Katia made me feel at ease. Although she has extensive experience with babies, she remains open and flexible—listening carefully to my needs and respecting our preferences. She remembered all the little things I mentioned and adapted her care accordingly. Even now, with my baby being 8 months old, I still turn to Katia when I need someone trustworthy to watch him for a few hours. That’s how much confidence and comfort she’s brought to our family. Both my husband and I are deeply grateful for her help—having Katia as our doula has been such a positive and reassuring experience. She made a lasting impact on our early journey as parents, and any family would be incredibly lucky to have her by their side.

Destiny Torres

Hi! I’m Destiny, a birth doula who believes every mom and family deserves to feel supported, heard, and empowered throughout their birth journey. Before becoming a doula, I spent over two years working in Labor & Delivery as a phlebotomist, where I witnessed the strength of birthing families and discovered my passion for birth work. I support clients through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period, whether they’re planning a home birth or a hospital birth. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and centered around your unique goals. Outside of birth work, I love hiking, baking banana bread, and spending time in nature. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you welcome your little one into the world.

Recent review

Throughout my entire pregnancy, I was super nervous and anxious because the thought of actually giving birth and delivering a child terrified me. A doula never really occurred to me as I never really knew what they were, until one of my coworkers who knew I was 5 months pregnant at the time brought up how she knew of a Doula. Destiny really explained to me what they do and the kinds of services a doula can provide, and it really interested me given through what I was going through during the time, . Working with her turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for me and my baby. From the very first meeting to our last, Destiny has been a pleasure to have as my doula and has made this process a lot lighter for me. She is a great person to talk to and ask any question to becuase she makes you feel comfortable and easy to talk to about any birth and post labor concerns. She provided a home cooked meal post labor and it was absolutely delicious ! But most importantly, she made every effort to ensure a safe space , and a memorable labor. when it was that time and I truly don't think it would've went the way it did had she not been my doula. Even after my son was born, she continued to check in on me, trying to just make sure I was adjusting well emotionally just as much as physically and that's how I know that she's someone who truly cares and has a love and passion to what she does. That meant so much to me because most people only focus on the baby and just forget about the mother lol, but she never forgot to remind me that the mom was just as important. More people would benefit from the services of a doula, especially her. If you're looking for someone who will treat you like family, I couldn't recommend her more. She is exactly the kind of person you want besides you during such a life changing experience.
