Jasmine Middleton is a Certified CAPPA birth doula, Certified Full Spectrum Doula, postpartum doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, and a peer breastfeeding counselor. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Physical Activity Management and Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University. She has found a love for breastfeeding after having her son in 2018 and having the best lactation consultant. She has expanded and embraced her purpose as a birth worker to become a doula. Her oldest, Liam, was born via emergency C-section and her youngest, Ausar, was a VBAC, as a home birth. She has breastfed both of them a total of 6 years. She has extended her knowledge by researching and learning from other mothers who breastfed their little ones in a Facebook Group. She has had the opportunity to become a moderator in the same group. She strives to assist mothers and their families by recommending evidence based research and a holistic approach during prenatal, natal and postpartum. Mother's Helper was established in 1988 by Lin Cook to help new mothers with the myriad of questions commonly asked about caring for a new baby. Mother's Helper first offered postpartum doula in-home care for new mothers and then later added Bradley Childbirth and Infant Massage classes. Lin also performs labor doula services and lactation consultations. The focus of Mother's Helper is to assist and educate pregnant women and new mothers in a variety of formats.
