I have always enjoyed helping others. I started my training in the medical field at the young age of 17 when I became a Certified Nurse Assistant. I continued my studies and became a Certified Medical Assistant, Although pregnancy was not easy for my body I thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant. With each pregnancy I was taught natural ways to cope and how to give my body what it needed. This gave me the desire to help other women, that desire continued to grow through each of my 5 pregnancies/ births to the point that I delivered my last baby unassisted and was able to catch her myself. I began my formal training with DONA in 2022 and became a certified birth doula in 2023. I have since worked with 4 midwives. in doing so I have gained great hands on experience and knowledge. I have been blessed to help many women through their own birth experiences. I look forward to continuing to serve and empower women for years to come. I want to continue the tradition of empowering and enriching women’s pregnancies and births, like my midwives did for me. Being a doula I get to do just that

Hello! I’m Amber Hage, a birth and postpartum doula, birth photographer, placenta encapsulator, and pediatric sleep consultant based in Fargo, North Dakota. I’m also the founder of Fargo Birth, where I work alongside an amazing team (including my sister!) to support families during one of the most powerful seasons of life. I’m passionate about creating a calm, confident, and personalized birth and postpartum experience—whether through hands-on support, beautiful birth images, or helping tired parents get some much-needed sleep. With a background in business, education, and entrepreneurship, I love merging heart and strategy to serve families well. When I’m not supporting clients, I’m running a lawn care company with my husband or helping my son with his magnet business, Stick with Parker. In my free time, you’ll find me learning something new, watching reality tv, or laughing with my kids.

Amanda of Avocado Doula, completed DONA International doula training to support one of her closest friends as she brought her baby into the world. Amanda is working to provide birth and postpartum doula services to the Fargo-Moorhead area. This summer Amanda also became the first Evidence Based Birth® Instructor in the state of North Dakota. Amanda is dedicated to educating, empowering, and supporting birthing people and their partners before, during, and after the birth of their baby.

Since becoming a mom and experiencing some of the challenges that come with that, I’ve known that I want to work with new parents and help them transition into parenthood smoothly. I believe whole heartedly that you are the right parents for your baby, and that you have the ability to make decisions that are best for them. My role is to provide you with un-biased information and resources to help you make confident decisions for your family. I am there to support you and help you build the skills and confidence you need to care for your child independently. I believe what new parents need more than anything is a non-judgemental listening ear, practical support around the house, and many, many opportunities for rest.
