Birth & Postpartum Doula

About me

Hello everyone, my name is Guadalupe Oropeza and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula located in Delano, Ca. My philosophy as a doula is rooted in the belief that when a parent feels informed and respected, they can lean into the power of their own birth story with confidence rather than fear. I see my role as your steady anchor—providing evidence-based information to help you navigate your options and unwavering physical and emotional support to protect your peace. Whether you are planning a natural physiological birth or a scheduled cesarean, my goal is to ensure you feel heard, held, and centered throughout the process. I don’t just show up for the birth; I show up for you. I am here to bridge the gap between medical protocols and your personal intuition. By creating a space where you feel safe to ask questions and trust your body’s rhythm, I help transform the transition into parenthood from a daunting mystery into an empowering, celebrated milestone.

Service introduction

My birth services are designed to provide a continuous bridge of support, starting well before your due date. During pregnancy, we meet for prenatal consultations to build your birth preferences, practice comfort measures, and address any anxieties. When labor begins, I provide continuous physical and emotional presence, utilizing techniques like counter-pressure, positioning for optimal fetal alignment, and rhythmic breathing to help you navigate each stage. I remain by your side until your baby is tucked in and the first feeding is established, ensuring you feel grounded and safe during those powerful first hours. As you transition home, my postpartum services shift toward nurturing the entire family unit. I provide evidence-based support for newborn care and feeding—whether you are chest-feeding, bottle-feeding, or a mix of both. Beyond baby care, I am there to ensure the 'fourth trimester' is a time of healing; this includes emotional processing of your birth story, light household organization, meal preparation, and screening for postpartum mood adjustments. My goal is to handle the logistics of the home so you can focus entirely on bonding and recovery
